Rashi

These are the descendants of Aharon and Moshe. [Scripture] mentions only the sons of Aharon, yet they are called the descendants of Moshe — because he taught them Torah. This teaches us that one who teaches another’s son Torah is considered as having procreated him.

On the day that Adonoy spoke to Moshe They became his descendants, since he taught them what he had learned from the mouth of the Almighty.

3:2

These are the names of Aharon’s sons; the firstborn, Nadav, and Avihu, Elazar and Isamar.

3:3

These are the names of Aharon’s sons, the anointed kohanim, whose hands are occupied with bringing offerings, to serve [God].

3:4

וַיָּמׇת נָדָב וַאֲבִיהוּא לִפְנֵי יְהֹוָה בְּֽהַקְרִבָם אֵשׁ זָרָה לִפְנֵי יְהֹוָה בְּמִדְבַּר סִינַי וּבָנִים לֹא־הָיוּ לָהֶם וַיְכַהֵן אֶלְעָזָר וְאִיתָמָר עַל־פְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן אֲבִיהֶֽם׃ {פ}

Nadav and Avihu died in the presence of Adonoy, when they offered a strange fire-offering before Adonoy, in the Sinai desert, and they had no sons. [However] Elazar and Isamar served in the presence of their father Aharon.
