וְלִֽשְׁמַעְיָה בְנוֹ נוֹלַד בָּנִים הַמִּמְשָׁלִים לְבֵית אֲבִיהֶם כִּֽי־גִבּוֹרֵי חַיִל הֵֽמָּה׃
Also to Shema῾ya his son were sons born, who ruled throughout the house of their father: for they were mighty men at arms.

בְּנֵי שְׁמַֽעְיָה עׇתְנִי וּרְפָאֵל וְעוֹבֵד אֶלְזָבָד אֶחָיו בְּנֵי־חָיִל אֱלִיהוּ וּסְמַכְיָֽהוּ׃
The sons of Shema῾ya; ῾Otni, and Refa᾽el, and ῾Oved, Elzavad, whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semakhyahu.

כׇּל־אֵלֶּה מִבְּנֵי ׀ עֹבֵד אֱדֹם הֵמָּה וּבְנֵיהֶם וַאֲחֵיהֶם אִֽישׁ־חַיִל בַּכֹּחַ לַעֲבֹדָה שִׁשִּׁים וּשְׁנַיִם לְעֹבֵד אֱדֹֽם׃

איש חיל. לא בכח ולא במלחמה אלא כאדם שאומר עליו פלוני חשוב וכן הלא בועז מודעתנו איש גבור חיל (רות ג׳:ב׳):
