וְאֵלֶּה מֽוֹשְׁבוֹתָם לְטִירוֹתָם בִּגְבוּלָם לִבְנֵי אַֽהֲרֹן לְמִשְׁפַּחַת הַקְּהָתִי כִּי לָהֶם הָיָה הַגּוֹרָֽל׃
Now these are their dwelling places throughout their encampments in their borders, of the sons of Aharon, of the families of the Qehati: for theirs was the lot.

וַֽיִּתְּנוּ לָהֶם אֶת־חֶבְרוֹן בְּאֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה וְאֶת־מִגְרָשֶׁיהָ סְבִיבֹתֶֽיהָ׃

נתנו לכלב. כי משה נתן לו:
ואלה מושבותם לטירותם בגבולם וגו'. עד כי להם היה הגורל ללוים ולכהנים מנחלתם כל ישראל הפילו גורלות על ארץ ישראל כמה מארץ ישראל יבא להם ולכהנים וללוים ויבא ליהודה הגורל מתחלה וזהו כי להם היה הגורל בראשונה לתת להם אותן עיירות שכתוב כאן:
