ואת התיחש הכהנים לבית אבותיהם והלוים. עם ייחוס טפם נשיהם בניהם ובנותיה' לכל אותו קהל היו מספיקין מזונותיהם מהתרומות ומעשרות הקדש, והתרומות והמעשרות כל אלו שאמרנו לאותן העומדים לשרת בעזרה וגם לבני אהרן הכהנים שלא הגיע משמרותם לשרת והם בשדה מגרש עריהם בכל עיר ועיר:

אנשים אשר נקבו בשמות. למעלה (ב' ל"א) כנניהו ואחיו היו ממונים עליהם לקבל המנות התרומות והמעשרו' מאת ישראל לתת המנות לכל זכר בכהנים ולוים:
were men who were mentioned by names Above (verses 12ff.) Conaniah and his brethren were appointed over them to receive the portions: the heave-offerings and the tithes from the Israelites to distribute the portions to every male among the priests and the Levites
לכל זכר בכהנים. וגם לכל נשיהם בניהם ובנותיהם ומה שאמר כאן לכל זכר משום רבותא שאפי' לזכרים קטנים היו מספיקין כדלעיל (שם) לזכרים מבן שלש ומעלה וכ"ש שהיו מספיקין לנשיהם ולבניהם ולבנותיהם:
