וַיִּקְבְּצוּ פְלִשְׁתִּים אֶת־כׇּל־מַחֲנֵיהֶם אֲפֵקָה וְיִשְׂרָאֵל חֹנִים בַּעַיִן אֲשֶׁר בְּיִזְרְעֶֽאל׃
The Philistines gathered together all their camps at Aiphek; Yisroel was camped at the spring that is in Yizre'el.

וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ שָׂרֵי פְלִשְׁתִּים מָה הָעִבְרִים הָאֵלֶּה וַיֹּאמֶר אָכִישׁ אֶל־שָׂרֵי פְלִשְׁתִּים הֲלוֹא־זֶה דָוִד עֶבֶד ׀ שָׁאוּל מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר הָיָה אִתִּי זֶה יָמִים אוֹ־זֶה שָׁנִים וְלֹֽא־מָצָאתִי בוֹ מְאוּמָה מִיּוֹם נׇפְלוֹ עַד־הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ {פ}
The Philistine officers said, "Who are these Hebrews?" And Achish replied to the Philistine officers, "Why, this is Dovid, the servant of Shaul, king of Yisroel, who has been with me for these days or these years, and I have found no fault with him, from the day he settled [with me] to this day."

מיום נפלו. מיום חנייתו עלי:
From the day he settled. From the day of his camping with me.1 See Bereishis 25:18, and Rashi there explains that נָפָל means ‘dwelt.’
