וַיְהִי אַחֲרֵי־כֵן וַיִּשְׁאַל דָּוִד בַּיהֹוָה ׀ לֵאמֹר הַאֶֽעֱלֶה בְּאַחַת עָרֵי יְהוּדָה וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹוָה אֵלָיו עֲלֵה וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִד אָנָה אֶעֱלֶה וַיֹּאמֶר חֶבְרֹֽנָה׃
And after this, Dovid asked of Adonoy saying, "Should I go up to one of the cities of Yehudah?" Adonoy said to him, "Go up." Dovid said, "Where should I go up to?" And He said, "To Chevron."

וַיַּעַל שָׁם דָּוִד וְגַם שְׁתֵּי נָשָׁיו אֲחִינֹעַם הַיִּזְרְעֵלִית וַאֲבִיגַיִל אֵשֶׁת נָבָל הַֽכַּרְמְלִֽי׃
