וַיְהִי כִּֽי־זָעֲקוּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְהֹוָה עַל אֹדוֹת מִדְיָֽן׃
It happened that when the Bnei Yisroel cried out to Adonoy concerning Midyon.

Adonoy sent a prophet to the Bnei Yisroel who said to them, "The following said Adonoy, God of Yisroel: 'I raised you up from Egypt, and delivered you from the house of bondage.

וָאַצִּל אֶתְכֶם מִיַּד מִצְרַיִם וּמִיַּד כׇּל־לֹחֲצֵיכֶם וָאֲגָרֵשׁ אוֹתָם מִפְּנֵיכֶם וָאֶתְּנָה לָכֶם אֶת־אַרְצָֽם׃
I rescued you from the hand of Egypt and from the hand of all those who oppressed you. I ousted them from your presence, and gave you their territory.
