לָמָה יְהֹוָה תַּעֲמֹד בְּרָחוֹק תַּעְלִים לְעִתּוֹת בַּצָּרָֽה׃

בְּגַאֲוַת רָשָׁע יִדְלַק עָנִי יִתָּפְשׂוּ ׀ בִּמְזִמּוֹת זוּ חָשָֽׁבוּ׃

ידלק. ירדוף כמו כי דלקת אחרי:
יתפשו במזמות זו חשבו. נתפסים הם העניים במזמות שהרשעים חושבים עליהם:
כִּֽי־הִלֵּל רָשָׁע עַל־תַּאֲוַת נַפְשׁוֹ וּבֹצֵעַ בֵּרֵךְ נִאֵץ ׀ יְהֹוָֽה׃

כי הלל רשע. מוסב על למה ה' תעמוד ברחוק כי עתה עמלק הרשע מתהלל שמשיג כל תאות נפשו:
ובוצע ברך נאץ ה'. והגזלן שבח את עצמו לאמר נאץ ה' ושלום יהיה לי:
ברך. כמו ברך לשון פעל ותדע שאילו הי' שם דבר הי' הטעם למעלה באות הראשונה והיה נקוד פתח וזה נקוד קמץ קטן וטעמו למטה ברי"ש, ואל תתמה על ברך שלא אמר ברך שהרבה תיבות של רי"ש משמשות כך כגון אויב חרף ה' (לקמן עד) ולא נאמר חרף:
נאץ. כמו חרף וכן כל ל' ניאוץ כך פתר מנחם:
רָשָׁע כְּגֹבַהּ אַפּוֹ בַּל־יִדְרֹשׁ אֵין אֱלֹהִים כׇּל־מְזִמּוֹתָֽיו׃

רשע כגובה אפו. שהוא גבה רוח ומגביה וזוקף פניו ואפו בגבהותו:
בל ידרוש. כל מזימותיו אומרות לו בל ידרוש הקב"ה כל מה שאעשה כי אין משפט:
אין אלהים. לית דין ולית דיין:
יָחִילוּ דְרָכָו ׀ בְּכׇל־עֵת מָרוֹם מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ מִנֶּגְדּוֹ כׇּל־צוֹרְרָיו יָפִיחַ בָּהֶֽם׃

יחילו. יצליחו ודומה לו (איוב כ׳:כ״א) על כן לא יחיל טובו, וי"מ יחילו כמו (שמואל ב ג׳:כ״ט) יחולו על ראש יואב:
מרום משפטיך מנגדו. מסולקים ומרוחקי' משפטי יסורין ופורעניו' שלך מנגדו שאינם באים עליו:
כל צורריו יפיח בהם. בהפחת רוח הוא מפיח בהם והם נופלים לפניו:
אָמַר בְּלִבּוֹ בַּל־אֶמּוֹט לְדֹר וָדֹר אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא־בְרָֽע׃

ונפל בעצומיו חלכאים. חיל נשברים ראיתי במסורה הגדולה חלכאים אחת מחמש עשרה תיבות הכתובות תיבה אחת ונקראות שתי תיבות וכמו בגד דותאמר לאה (בראשית ל) אשדת למו (דברים לג) מלכם תדכאו עמי (ישעי' ג) אף זה חלכאים חיל של נשברים, כאים ל' ונכאה לבב למותת (לקמן קט) וא"ת הנו"ן מן השורש יוכיח עליו יען הכאת לב צדיק (יחזקאל י״ג:כ״ב) למדנו הנו"ן של נכאה כנו"ן של נמבזה (ש"א טו) ונו"ן של נקלה וכן פתרונו ונפל בעצומיו של רשע זה ברמיזותיו ובקריצותיו לשון הגישו עצמותיכם (ישעי' מא) עוצם עיניו (שם לג) חיל של עניים, ד"א בעצומיו ע"י גבוריו א"ר סימון אין הרשע הזה מטיל בקלירוס שלו פירוש חיל אלא גבורים כמותו שנאמר (דניאל ג׳:כ׳) ולגוברין גברי חיל די בחילי' אמר לכפתה לשדרך מישך ועבד נגו ומנחם פתר חלכאים כמו דל וחלך והכף יסוד בתיבה:
אָמַר בְּלִבּוֹ שָׁכַֽח אֵל הִסְתִּיר פָּנָיו בַּל־רָאָה לָנֶֽצַח׃

רָאִתָה כִּי־אַתָּה ׀ עָמָל וָכַעַס ׀ תַּבִּיט לָתֵת בְּיָדֶךָ עָלֶיךָ יַעֲזֹב חֵלֵכָה יָתוֹם אַתָּה ׀ הָיִיתָ עוֹזֵֽר׃

ראתה. מה שהוא עושה ואתה מחריש:
כי אתה. כן דרכך שתביט עמל וכעס:
לתת בידך. בכחך אתה נותן יד לרשעים להצליח ברשעם:
עליך יעזוב חלכה. ישראל עמך שהם חילך הם עוזבים עליך את המשא שתעשה דין ברשעים, ומנחם פתר יעזוב ל' עזרה כמו (שמות כ״ג:ה׳) עזוב תעזוב עמו, ומנחם פתר חלכה ל' דל וחלך וכ' יסוד בתיבה:
יתום אתה היית עוזר. בימים ראשונים:
שְׁבֹר זְרוֹעַ רָשָׁע וָרָע תִּֽדְרוֹשׁ־רִשְׁעוֹ בַל־תִּמְצָֽא׃
Break Thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till Thou find none left.

שבור זרוע. של עמלק הרשע:
ורע תדרוש רשעו בל תמצא. פושעי ישראל כשרואין את הרשעים מצליחין לבם נושאם להרשיע אבל משתשבר את זרוע הרשעים אם באת לדרוש רשעם של רשעי ישראל לא תמצאנו:
יְהֹוָה מֶלֶךְ עוֹלָם וָעֶד אָבְדוּ גוֹיִם מֵאַרְצֽוֹ׃
