Tehillim 101:1-8

101:1

לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר חֶֽסֶד־וּמִשְׁפָּט אָשִׁירָה לְךָ יְהֹוָה אֲזַמֵּֽרָה׃

A Psalm of David, I will sing of loyal love and justice: to Thee, O Lord, I will sing.

Rashi

חסד ומשפט אשירה. כשאתה עושה עמי חסד אקלסך ברוך הטוב והמטיב וכשאתה עושה בי משפט אני אשיר ברוך דיין האמת בין כך ובין כך לך ה' אזמרה:

101:2

אַשְׂכִּילָה ׀ בְּדֶרֶךְ תָּמִים מָתַי תָּבוֹא אֵלָי אֶתְהַלֵּךְ בְּתׇם־לְבָבִי בְּקֶרֶב בֵּיתִֽי׃

I will celebrate with a Maskil psalm the way of integrity. O when wilt Thou come to me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.

Rashi

אשכילה. אתן לב על דרך התמים:

מתי תבא אלי. הדרך הישרה להתהלך בה ואתהלך בתם לבבי אף בקרב ביתי בהצנע כמו בפרהסיא:

101:3

לֹֽא־אָשִׁית ׀ לְנֶגֶד עֵינַי דְּֽבַר־בְּלִיָּעַל עֲשֹֽׂה־סֵטִים שָׂנֵאתִי לֹא יִדְבַּק בִּֽי׃

I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of those who turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

Rashi

סטים. לשון כי תשטה אשתו (במדבר ה׳:י״ב) לסור מן הדרך דישטול"מנט בלע"ז:

101:4

לֵבָב עִקֵּשׁ יָסוּר מִמֶּנִּי רָע לֹא אֵדָֽע׃

A perverse heart shall depart from me: I will know no evil matter.

Rashi

רע לא אדע. לא אהב לא אכיר בדבר רע:

101:5

(מלושני) [מְלׇשְׁנִי] בַסֵּתֶר ׀ רֵעֵהוּ אוֹתוֹ אַצְמִית גְּֽבַהּ־עֵינַיִם וּרְחַב לֵבָב אֹתוֹ לֹא אוּכָֽל׃

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbour, him I will cut off: him that has a high look and a proud heart I will not suffer.

אותו לא אוכל. שיהא חבירי שלא אלמד ממעשיו:

101:6

עֵינַי ׀ בְּנֶֽאֶמְנֵי־אֶרֶץ לָשֶׁבֶת עִמָּדִי הֹלֵךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ תָּמִים הוּא יְשָׁרְתֵֽנִי׃

My eyes are upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walks in the way of integrity, he shall serve me.

101:7

לֹֽא־יֵשֵׁב ׀ בְּקֶרֶב בֵּיתִי עֹשֵׂה רְמִיָּה דֹּבֵר שְׁקָרִים לֹא־יִכּוֹן לְנֶגֶד עֵינָֽי׃

He that works deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that tells lies shall not remain in my sight.

101:8

לַבְּקָרִים אַצְמִית כׇּל־רִשְׁעֵי־אָרֶץ לְהַכְרִית מֵעִיר־יְהֹוָה כׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ {פ}

Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.

לבקרים אצמית. מדי יום יום אכרית מעט מעט רשעי ישראל המחויבין מיתה:
