לְךָ דֻֽמִיָּה תְהִלָּה אֱלֹהִים בְּצִיּוֹן וּלְךָ יְשֻׁלַּם־נֶֽדֶר׃

אלהים בציון. אלהים השוכן בציון, (מצאתי שימו כבוד תהלתו, לא יותר מדאי, אך דומיה תהלה וכמדומה הללוהו באימה בלשון הללויה שם בן שתי אותיות מתורגם דחילא עזי וזמרת יה (לקמן קי"ח) ויד על כס יה (שמות י״ז:ט״ז) ולשון וגילו ברעדה דומה לזה) ד"א לך דומיה תהלה אלהים בציון את אשר דוממת והחרשת על מה שעשה אויביך בציון תהלה היה לך שהיכולת בידך להנקם ואתה מאריך אף:

דברי עונות גברו מני. ואין אנו יכולים להספיק לסדר כולם לפניך לפי שהם רב אלא בכלל אחד אנו מתפללים לפניך שפשעינו אתה תכפרם:
אַשְׁרֵי ׀ תִּבְחַר וּתְקָרֵב יִשְׁכֹּן חֲצֵרֶיךָ נִשְׂבְּעָה בְּטוּב בֵּיתֶךָ קְדֹשׁ הֵיכָלֶֽךָ׃
Happy is the man whom Thou choosest, and causest to approach to Thee, that he may dwell in Thy courts: we will be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, Thy holy temple.

אשרי. מי אשר תבחר ותקרב אשר ישכן בחצריך:
נשבעה בטוב. שבביתך ומקדושת היכלך ששכינתך שורה שם:
נוֹרָאוֹת ׀ בְּצֶדֶק תַּעֲנֵנוּ אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעֵנוּ מִבְטָח כׇּל־קַצְוֵי־אֶרֶץ וְיָם רְחֹקִֽים׃

נוראות בצדק תעננו. בצדקתך תעננו לעשות נוראות בגוים:
מבטח. אתה ומנוס לכל יושבי קצות ארץ מקצה הארץ ועד קצהו:
וים רחוקים. אפילו לרחוקים שבים אתה מבטח שבכל מקום ממשלתך:
מֵכִין הָרִים בְּכֹחוֹ נֶאְזָר בִּגְבוּרָֽה׃

מכין הרים בכחו. שמצמיח ההרים שהם קשים בכחו ומזמן ומכין בהן מזונות ומכין מטר כדכתיב (לקמן קמז) המכין לארץ מטר המצמיח הרים:
נאזר בגבורה. לפי שבא להזכיר גבורת גשמים אמר נאזר בגבורה:
מַשְׁבִּיחַ ׀ שְׁאוֹן יַמִּים שְׁאוֹן גַּלֵּיהֶם וַהֲמוֹן לְאֻמִּֽים׃

משביח. משפיל, וכן וחכם באחור ישבחנה (משלי כ"ט) בשוא גליו אתה תשבחם (לקמן פ"ט):

רבת תעשרנה. הרבה אתה מעשרה מפלג שלך שהוא מלא מים ותכין בו דגנם של יושבי קצוות כי בכן אתה מכין אותם:
תְּלָמֶיהָ רַוֵּה נַחֵת גְּדוּדֶהָ בִּרְבִיבִים תְּמֹגְגֶנָּה צִמְחָהּ תְּבָרֵֽךְ׃

לבשו כרים הצאן. יתלבשון השרון והערבה מן הצאן הבאים לרעות הדשא אשר הצמיח המטר:
ועמקים יעטפו בר. ע"י המטר יהיו מעוטפים העמקים בתבואה ואז יתרועעו הבריות תרועת שמחה וישירו מרוב הברכה:
לך דמיה תהלה. השתיקה תהלה לך לפי שאין קץ לשבחך והמרבה בשבח אינו אלא גורע:
