וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹוָה אֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁעַ הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה אָחֵל גַּדֶּלְךָ בְּעֵינֵי כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר יֵֽדְעוּן כִּי כַּאֲשֶׁר הָיִיתִי עִם־מֹשֶׁה אֶהְיֶה עִמָּֽךְ׃
And the Lord said to Yehoshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Yisra᾽el, that they may know that, as I was with Moshe, so I will be with thee.

וְאַתָּה תְּצַוֶּה אֶת־הַכֹּהֲנִים נֹֽשְׂאֵי אֲרֽוֹן־הַבְּרִית לֵאמֹר כְּבֹאֲכֶם עַד־קְצֵה מֵי הַיַּרְדֵּן בַּיַּרְדֵּן תַּעֲמֹֽדוּ׃ {פ}
And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When you are come to the brink of the water of the Yarden, you shall stand still in the Yarden.

Rashi
בירדן תעמדו. עד אשר יעברו כל העם אל העבר השני:
Remain standing in the Jordan. Until all the people cross over to the other side [of the river.]
כבאכם עד קצה מי הירדן. כשתכנסו לפנים משפתו:
When you reach the edge of the waters of the Jordan. When you enter within its edge.
