כֹּה ׀ אָמַר יְהֹוָה בְּעֵת רָצוֹן עֲנִיתִיךָ וּבְיוֹם יְשׁוּעָה עֲזַרְתִּיךָ וְאֶצׇּרְךָ וְאֶתֶּנְךָ לִבְרִית עָם לְהָקִים אֶרֶץ לְהַנְחִיל נְחָלוֹת שֹׁמֵמֽוֹת׃
Thus says the Lord, In an acceptable time have I answered thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to restore the land, and to assign desolate inheritances to their owners.

וביום ישועה. שתהא צריך לישועה:

לברית עם. להיות עם ברית לי:
להקים ארץ. ארץ ישראל הבחורה לי בכל הארצות:
לֵאמֹר לַֽאֲסוּרִים צֵאוּ לַאֲשֶׁר בַּחֹשֶׁךְ הִגָּלוּ עַל־דְּרָכִים יִרְעוּ וּבְכׇל־שְׁפָיִים מַרְעִיתָֽם׃
That thou mayst say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be on all high places.

לאסורים צאו. לעת אשר אומר לאסורי גולה צאו:
שפיים. תרגם יונתן נגדין, נחלי מים:
לֹא יִרְעָבוּ וְלֹא יִצְמָאוּ וְלֹא־יַכֵּם שָׁרָב וָשָׁמֶשׁ כִּֽי־מְרַחֲמָם יְנַהֲגֵם וְעַל־מַבּוּעֵי מַיִם יְנַהֲלֵֽם׃
They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

שרב. חום:
וְשַׂמְתִּי כׇל־הָרַי לַדָּרֶךְ וּמְסִלֹּתַי יְרֻמֽוּן׃
And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be raised up.

ושמתי כל הרי לדרך. כלפי שאמר (לעיל לג) על ידי חורבנה שבת עובר אורח עכשיו ישובו וילכו בו עוברים ושבי':
ומסלותי ירומון. כלפי שאמר (שם) נשמו מסלות נתקלקלו מאין מתקן אותם עכשיו ומסילותי ירומון יתקנו קילקול הדרכים ויגביה אותם כמשפט בחלוקי אבנים ועפר:
הִנֵּה־אֵלֶּה מֵרָחוֹק יָבֹאוּ וְהִֽנֵּה־אֵלֶּה מִצָּפוֹן וּמִיָּם וְאֵלֶּה מֵאֶרֶץ סִינִֽים׃
Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.

מארץ סינים. מארע דרומא:
רׇנּוּ שָׁמַיִם וְגִילִי אָרֶץ (יפצחו) [וּפִצְחוּ] הָרִים רִנָּה כִּֽי־נִחַם יְהֹוָה עַמּוֹ וַעֲנִיָּיו יְרַחֵֽם׃ {ס}
Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord has comforted his people, and has mercy upon his afflicted.
