הִנֵּה יַשְׂכִּיל עַבְדִּי יָרוּם וְנִשָּׂא וְגָבַהּ מְאֹֽד׃
Behold, my servant shall prosper, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

כַּאֲשֶׁר שָׁמְמוּ עָלֶיךָ רַבִּים כֵּן־מִשְׁחַת מֵאִישׁ מַרְאֵהוּ וְתֹאֲרוֹ מִבְּנֵי אָדָֽם׃
Just as many were astonished at thee; saying, Surely his visage is too marred to be that of a man, and his form, to be that of the sons of men:

כאשר שממו. כאשר תמהו עליהם עמים רבים בראותם שפלותם ואמרו זה אל זה כמה משחת מאיש מראהו (של ישראל) ראו מה תארם חשוך משאר בני אדם כן כאשר אנחנו רואים בעינינו:
כֵּן יַזֶּה גּוֹיִם רַבִּים עָלָיו יִקְפְּצוּ מְלָכִים פִּיהֶם כִּי אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא־סֻפַּר לָהֶם רָאוּ וַאֲשֶׁר לֹא־שָׁמְעוּ הִתְבּוֹנָֽנוּ׃ {ס}
so shall he startle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they perceive.

כן יזה גוים רבים. כן עתה גם הוא תגבר ידו וידה את קרנות העכו"ם אשר זירוהו:
יקפצו. יסגרו פיהם מרוב תימהון, כי כבוד אשר לא סופר להם על שום אדם ראו בו:
התבוננו. אסתכלו:
הנה ישכיל עבדי. הנה באחרית הימים יצליח עבדי יעקב צדיקים שבו:
