וַֽיְהִי בֶּעְזֹר הָאֱלֹהִים אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם נֹשְׂאֵי אֲרוֹן בְּרִית־יְהֹוָה וַיִּזְבְּחוּ שִׁבְעָֽה־פָרִים וְשִׁבְעָה אֵילִֽים׃
And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.

וְדָוִיד מְכֻרְבָּל ׀ בִּמְעִיל בּוּץ וְכׇל־הַלְוִיִּם הַנֹּשְׂאִים אֶת־הָאָרוֹן וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים וּכְנַנְיָה הַשַּׂר הַמַּשָּׂא הַמְשֹׁרְרִים וְעַל־דָּוִיד אֵפוֹד בָּֽד׃

ודוד מכרבל. כמו בדניאל בכרבלתהון דוגמא כרבלתא דתרנגולא:
וכל הלוים. כמו כן מכורבלים במעיל בוץ ולפי שהיה דוד משורר כמו לוים לבש גם הוא לבושיהם שלבשו גם הם וראיה להבדיל כך היה מנהג מלכים ושרים של עובדי כוכבים ומזלות שאוכלים עם כהניהם כחוקם היו לובשים לבושי כהניהם:
ועל דויד אפוד בד. כאותו אפוד של אהרן שהיה כמין שני לבדין אחד לפנים ואחד לאחור ומגיע עד מתניו והיה האזור ארוג ממנו וחגרו בו:
וְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵל מַֽעֲלִים אֶת־אֲרוֹן בְּרִית־יְהֹוָה בִּתְרוּעָה וּבְקוֹל שׁוֹפָר וּבַחֲצֹצְרוֹת וּבִמְצִלְתָּיִם מַשְׁמִעִים בִּנְבָלִים וְכִנֹּרֽוֹת׃

ומיכל בת שאול וגו'. לפי שספר דברי הימים בשביל כבוד דוד הוא לפיכך אין כתוב כאן מה אמרה מיכל לדוד כמו שכתוב בשמואל מה נכבד היום מלך ישראל אשר נגלה היום לעיני אמהות עבדיו כהגלות נגלות אחד הריקים כי זילותא של דוד היה שאמרה לו אשה כן:
ויהי בעזר האלהים. רבותינו אמרו מכאן שהארון נושא את עצמו:
