וּבְנֵי חֲצִי שֵׁבֶט מְנַשֶּׁה יָשְׁבוּ בָּאָרֶץ מִבָּשָׁן עַד־בַּעַל חֶרְמוֹן וּשְׂנִיר וְהַר־חֶרְמוֹן הֵמָּה רָבֽוּ׃
And the children of the half tribe of Menashshe dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan to Ba῾al-ĥermon and Senir, and to mount Ḥermon.

וַיִּֽמְעֲלוּ בֵּאלֹהֵי אֲבֹתֵיהֶם וַיִּזְנוּ אַֽחֲרֵי אֱלֹהֵי עַמֵּֽי־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר־הִשְׁמִיד אֱלֹהִים מִפְּנֵיהֶֽם׃

וַיָּעַר אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־רוּחַ ׀ פּוּל מֶלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר וְאֶת־רוּחַ תִּלְּגַת פִּלְנֶסֶר מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר וַיַּגְלֵם לָראוּבֵנִי וְלַגָּדִי וְלַחֲצִי שֵׁבֶט מְנַשֶּׁה וַיְבִיאֵם לַחְלַח וְחָבוֹר וְהָרָא וּנְהַר גּוֹזָן עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ {פ}
And the God of Yisra᾽el stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Ashshur, and the spirit of Tilgat-piln᾽eser king of Ashshur, and he carried them away, namely the Re᾽uveni, and the Gadi, and the half tribe of Menashshe, and brought them to Ḥalaĥ, and Ḥavor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, to this day.

ויזנו אחרי אלהי עמי הארץ אשר השמיד אלהים מפניהם. פתרון הם זנו אחרי אלהי עמי הארץ ואיזה עם אשר השמידם אלהים מפניהם שאלהיהם לא היה יכול לעוזרם ולא שמו על לבם אחרי השמידם מפניהם ולא היה יכול לעזרם ולנו כמו כן לא יעזור:
