וַיִּתְּנוּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל לַלְוִיִּם אֶת־הֶעָרִים וְאֶת־מִגְרְשֵׁיהֶֽם׃
And the children of Yisra᾽el gave to the Levites these cities with their pasture lands.

And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Yehuda and out of the tribe of the children of Shim῾on, and out of the tribe of the children of Binyamin, these cities, which are mentioned by names.

אשר יקראו אתהם בשמות. כלומר אשר קראנו אותם בשמות למעלה לפי שהיה בנימין חבר עמהם לבני אהרן מזכירו אעפ"י שהזכירו כבר:
ויתנו בגורל ממטה בני יהודה וממטה בני שמעון. אעפ"י שלא הזכיר שמעון בנתינתן הוא נתן חלקו מה שנתן לו יהודה וגם יהודה אינו נזכר למעלה בעיקר הנתינה וכל מה שמזכיר למעלה מויתנו להם את חברון עד וממטה בנימין הכל נתנו בני יהודה ובני שמעון ולפי שלא הזכירו למעלה מזכירו עתה כאן:
