30:7

שְׁתַּיִם שָׁאַלְתִּי מֵאִתָּךְ אַל־תִּמְנַע מִמֶּנִּי בְּטֶרֶם אָמֽוּת׃

Two things have I asked of thee; do not deny me them before I die:

Rashi

שתים שאלתי מאתך. עכשיו מדבר לפני הקב"ה:

30:8

שָׁוְא ׀ וּֽדְבַר־כָּזָב הַרְחֵק מִמֶּנִּי רֵאשׁ וָעֹשֶׁר אַל־תִּֽתֶּן־לִי הַטְרִיפֵנִי לֶחֶם חֻקִּֽי׃

remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with my allotted portion:

ראש. דלות:

הטריפני. ל' מזון וכן טרף נתן ליראיו (תהילים קי״א:ה׳):

30:9

פֶּן־אֶשְׂבַּע ׀ וְכִחַשְׁתִּי וְאָמַרְתִּי מִי־יְהֹוָה וּפֶֽן־אִוָּרֵשׁ וְגָנַבְתִּי וְתָפַשְׂתִּי שֵׁם אֱלֹהָֽי׃ {פ}

lest I become sated, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and violate the name of my God.

Rashi

פן אשבע. מתוך עושר וכחשתי בהקב"ה מרוב גאוה ומהו הכחשה:

ואמרתי מי ה'. כלומר אין אלהים:

ותפשתי שם אלהי. להרגיל להשבע בו לשקר:
