אֵֽשֶׁת־חַיִל מִי יִמְצָא וְרָחֹק מִפְּנִינִים מִכְרָֽהּ׃

מעשיה. כשרון מעשיה מעיד עליה להללה בשער העיר כל יוצא ובא זו המליצה שפירשתי, אבל לפי המשל על התורה ולומדיה הפרשה מתבארת:
אשת חיל. היא התורה:
מי ימצא. אשרי הזוכה למצוא אותה:
מפנינים. מרגליות:
ושלל לא יחסר. אוכל פירות בעוה"ז ובעוה"ב:
דרשה צמר ופשתים. לפי שהמשילה לאשה דבר לפי המליצה כצרכי מלאכת הנשים, והמשל כך הוא, דורשת התורה מקרא משנה מדרש ומחזרת אחריהם שהם צרכי התלמידים:
היתה כאניות סוחר. מביאה היא ללומדיה ברכה ומזון:
ותקם בעוד לילה. משכימים באשמורת:
ותתן טרף לביתה. שונה הרב לתלמידים החוק הקצוב להם:
זממה שדה. זממה בזמם וברסן את עשו איש שדה:
ותקחהו. מן העולם להאבידו:
מפרי מעשיה נטעה כרם. ישראל לקיימם לחיי העה"ב:
טעמה. דבורה:
לא יכבה בלילה נרה. בליל כתיב חסר ה' בליל שמורים שנגפו המצריים האירה לישראל והגינה עליהם:
בכישור. בכשרון מעשיה:
תמכו פלך. משען ומשענה כמו (שמואל ב ג) מחזיק בפלך:
כפה פרשה. למי שמשים עצמו עליה כעני בו היא מתקיימת:
לא תירא לביתה משלג. שדנין בו הרשעים מאש לשלג:
לבוש שנים. ברית דם מילה, ד"א מלובשים בכפל נתן תתן (דברים ט״ו:י״ד) פתוח תפתח (שם) העניק תעניק (שם) כל אלו מצילין אותן משלג גיהנם, כך הוא נדרש בתנחומה:
סדין עשתה. לבוש תפארת נותנת לחכמים:
וחגור נתנה לכנעני. (ס"א) (למי) לפי שהוא חגור בסחורתה נותנה אזור למתניהם:
ליום אחרון. אין להם להתעצב ממדת הדין כי ינצלו ממנו וכל ימי חייהם ישחקו ליום הדין, מי שאינו צריך לדאג נופל בדבר לשון צחוק כמו (איוב יא) וישחק לרעש כידון:
צופיה הליכות ביתה. התורה מלמדתם דרך הטוב לפרוש מעבירה:
קמו בניה. התלמידים:
בעלה. הקב"ה:
שקר החן. שב על כל הע"ג:
והבל. גדולתן ויופין:
תנו לה. לעתיד לבא:
מפרי ידיה. תפארת וגדולה עוז פאר וממשלה:
ושלל לא יחסר. כלומר לא יחסר טוב:
