ויגידו. המגידים לאבימלך, שיצאו בני העיר אל השדה לעשות חפציהם:
They informed. Those who gave the information to Avimelech, that the townspeople had gone to the fields to attend to their wants.
וַיִּקַּח אֶת־הָעָם וַיֶּֽחֱצֵם לִשְׁלֹשָׁה רָאשִׁים וַיֶּאֱרֹב בַּשָּׂדֶה וַיַּרְא וְהִנֵּה הָעָם יֹצֵא מִן־הָעִיר וַיָּקׇם עֲלֵיהֶם וַיַּכֵּֽם׃
