שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת רַבַּת צְרָרוּנִי מִנְּעוּרַי יֹאמַר־נָא יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

עַל־גַּבִּי חָרְשׁוּ חֹרְשִׁים הֶאֱרִיכוּ (למענותם) [לְמַעֲנִיתָֽם]׃

יְהֹוָה צַדִּיק קִצֵּץ עֲבוֹת רְשָׁעִֽים׃
The Lord is righteous: he has cut asunder the cord of the wicked.

יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִסֹּגוּ אָחוֹר כֹּל שֹׂנְאֵי צִיּֽוֹן׃
Let them be confounded and turned back, all who hate Żiyyon.

שקדמת שלף יבש. שקודם שישלפוהו ויתלשוהו ממקומו הוא יבש:
שֶׁלֹּא מִלֵּא כַפּוֹ קוֹצֵר וְחִצְנוֹ מְעַמֵּֽר׃

וחצנו. כמו (ישעיהו מ״ט:כ״ב) והביאו בניך בחוצן איישי"לא בלע"ז, וכן גם חצני נערתי:
וְלֹא אָמְרוּ ׀ הָעֹבְרִים בִּרְכַּֽת־יְהֹוָה אֲלֵיכֶם בֵּרַכְנוּ אֶתְכֶם בְּשֵׁם יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}

חרשים האריכו למעניתם. הוא תלם המחרישה כבחצי מענה צמד שדה:
