אמרי האזינה ה'. כשיש בי כח לשאול צרכי לפניך וכשאין בי כח להתפלל לפניך והדאגה עצורה בלבי בינה הגיגי הבן הגיון לבי כך מפורש במדרש כל בינה שבמקרא הטעם תחת הנון חוץ מזה וחבירו (באיוב לה) ואם בינה שמעה זאת שאינו שם דבר אלא לשון הבן כמו (משלי כג) בין תבין את אשר לפניך לפיכך הטעם תחת הבי"ת:
הַקְשִׁיבָה ׀ לְקוֹל שַׁוְעִי מַלְכִּי וֵאלֹהָי כִּֽי־אֵלֶיךָ אֶתְפַּלָּֽל׃

בקר תשמע קולי. בבוקר אני קורא לך עליהם שהוא עת משפט ברשעי' כמו שנאמר לבקרים אצמית כל רשעי ארץ (לקמן קא) היה זרועם לבקרים (ישעיהו ל״ג:ב׳) כי בבקר בבקר יעבור (שם כח):
בקר אערך לך. תפלתי על זאת, אערוך ל' מערכה הוא כך חברו מנחם:
ואצפה. שתעשה בהם משפטים:
כִּי ׀ לֹא אֵֽל־חָפֵץ־רֶשַׁע ׀ אָתָּה לֹא יְגֻרְךָ רָֽע׃

כי לא אל חפץ רשע אתה. ונאה לך לאבד הרשעה מן העולם:
לא יגורך רע. לא יגור אצלך:
לֹֽא־יִתְיַצְּבוּ הוֹלְלִים לְנֶגֶד עֵינֶיךָ שָׂנֵאתָ כׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃

תְּאַבֵּד דֹּבְרֵי כָזָב אִישׁ־דָּמִים וּמִרְמָה יְתָעֵב ׀ יְהֹוָֽה׃

איש דמים ומרמה. זה עמלק וזרעו:
וַאֲנִי בְּרֹב חַסְדְּךָ אָבוֹא בֵיתֶךָ אֶשְׁתַּחֲוֶה אֶל־הֵֽיכַל־קׇדְשְׁךָ בְּיִרְאָתֶֽךָ׃
But as for me, I will come into Thy house in the multitude of Thy love: and in the fear of Thee I will worship towards Thy holy temple.

ואני. אבא ביתך להודות לך ברב חסדך שהפלאת עלינו להראותינו נקמה מהם:

שוררי. עויני המצפים שאבגוד בך ותעזבני, שוררי כמו (במדבר כ״ד:י״ז) אשורנו ולא קרוב:
כִּי אֵין בְּפִיהוּ נְכוֹנָה קִרְבָּם הַוּוֹת קֶֽבֶר־פָּתוּחַ גְּרֹנָם לְשׁוֹנָם יַחֲלִיקֽוּן׃

קרבם הוות. מחשבותם מרמה:
קבר פתוח גרונם. לבלוע יגיע אחרים כקבר הבולע את הגוף:
יחליקון. דברי חלקלקו':
הַאֲשִׁימֵם ׀ אֱֽלֹהִים יִפְּלוּ מִֽמֹּעֲצוֹתֵיהֶם בְּרֹב פִּשְׁעֵיהֶם הַדִּיחֵמוֹ כִּי־מָרוּ בָֽךְ׃
Condemn them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out for the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against Thee.

ממועצותיהם. שהם יועצים על ישראל, ואז ישמחו כל חוסי בך:
וְיִשְׂמְחוּ כׇל־חוֹסֵי בָךְ לְעוֹלָם יְרַנֵּנוּ וְתָסֵךְ עָלֵימוֹ וְֽיַעְלְצוּ בְךָ אֹהֲבֵי שְׁמֶֽךָ׃
But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because Thou dost defend them: and let those who love Thy name be joyful in Thee.

כצנה. המקפת שלש רוחותיו של אדם:
רצון. נחת רוח אפימנ"ט בלעז:
תעטרנו. תסובבנו כמו (שמואל א כ״ג:כ״ו) ושאול ואנשיו עוטרים אל דוד ואל אנשיו:
אל הנחילות. מנחם פתר בכולן נחילות ועלמות גיתות ידותון כלם שמות כלי זמר הם ונעימות המזמור היתה לפי שיר הראוי לאותו כלי ומדרש אגדה יש מפרשים נחילות לשון נחלה ואין זה משמעות התיבה וגם ענין המזמור אינו מדבר בנחלה ויתכן לפתור נחילות גייסות כמו נחיל של דבורים וכמו (תהילים י״ח:ה׳) ונחלי בליעל ות"י סיעת חייבין תפלה בשביל גייסות אויבים הבאים על ישראל ואומר המשורר מזמור הזה בשביל כל ישראל:
