Tehillim 67:1-8

67:1

לַמְנַצֵּחַ בִּנְגִינֹת מִזְמוֹר שִֽׁיר׃

To the chief Musician on strings, A Psalm, a Poem.

67:2

אֱֽלֹהִים יְחׇנֵּנוּ וִיבָרְכֵנוּ יָאֵֽר־פָּנָיו אִתָּנוּ סֶֽלָה׃

God be gracious to us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; (Sela.)

Rashi

יאר פניו. להראות פנים שוחקות לתת טל ומטר:

67:3

לָדַעַת בָּאָרֶץ דַּרְכֶּךָ בְּכׇל־גּוֹיִם יְשׁוּעָתֶֽךָ׃

that Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy salvation among all nations.

Rashi

לדעת בארץ דרכך. להודיע שמדתך להטיב לעמך ועל זה יודוך וישמחו וירננו לאמים:

67:4

יוֹדוּךָ עַמִּים ׀ אֱלֹהִים יוֹדוּךָ עַמִּים כֻּלָּֽם׃

Let the peoples praise Thee, O God; let all the peoples give thanks to Thee.

67:5

יִשְׂמְחוּ וִירַנְּנוּ לְאֻמִּים כִּֽי־תִשְׁפֹּט עַמִּים מִישֹׁר וּלְאֻמִּים ׀ בָּאָרֶץ תַּנְחֵם סֶֽלָה׃

O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for Thou shalt judge the peoples with equity, and govern the nations upon earth. (Sela.)

Rashi

כי תשפוט עמים מישור. לזכות:

תנחם. תנהגם בדרך המישור ועל זאת יודוך עמים כולם:

67:6

יוֹדוּךָ עַמִּים ׀ אֱלֹהִים יוֹדוּךָ עַמִּים כֻּלָּֽם׃

Let the peoples praise Thee, O God; let all the peoples give Thee thanks.

67:7

אֶרֶץ נָתְנָה יְבוּלָהּ יְבָרְכֵנוּ אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

The earth has yielded her increase; and God, our own God, shall bless us.

Rashi

ארץ נתנה יבולה. וגם אל הארץ שנתנה יבולה ועל אשר יברכנו השם (סא"א):

67:8

יְבָרְכֵנוּ אֱלֹהִים וְיִֽירְאוּ אוֹתוֹ כׇּל־אַפְסֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ {פ}

God shall bless us; and let all the ends of the earth fear him.

Rashi

וייראו אותו כל אפסי ארץ. שיאמרו ראו אלו שהיו יראי השם איך ברכם וגדלם:
