ליום השבת. שאומרי' אותו בשבתות והוא מדבר בענין העולם הבא שכולו שבת:
טוֹב לְהֹדוֹת לַיהֹוָה וּלְזַמֵּר לְשִׁמְךָ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃
It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praise to Thy name, O most High:

להגיד בבקר חסדך. בעת הגאולה:
ואמונתך בלילות. ובעוד צרת הגלות להאמין בך שתשמור הבטחתך כל זה נאה וטוב:
עֲֽלֵי־עָשׂוֹר וַעֲלֵי־נָבֶל עֲלֵי הִגָּיוֹן בְּכִנּֽוֹר׃

עלי עשור ועלי נבל. כנור של עשרה נימין:
כִּי שִׂמַּחְתַּנִי יְהֹוָה בְּפׇעֳלֶךָ בְּֽמַעֲשֵׂי יָדֶיךָ אֲרַנֵּֽן׃

איש בער לא ידע. את האמור למטה:
בִּפְרֹחַ רְשָׁעִים ׀ כְּמוֹ־עֵשֶׂב וַיָּצִיצוּ כׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן לְהִשָּׁמְדָם עֲדֵי־עַֽד׃

בפרח רשעים כמו עשב. אינם יודעי' שהפרחת' אינה אלא להשמידם עדי עד שמשלם לשונאיו על פניהם להאבידם:
וְאַתָּה מָרוֹם לְעֹלָם יְהֹוָֽה׃

ואתה מרום. בכל משפטיך ידך על העליונה שהכל מצדיקים עליהם את דינך:

בלותי בשמן רענן. לבלותי בשמן של שררה בלותי כמו (במדבר טו) בלול בשמן:
וַתַּבֵּט עֵינִי בְּשׁוּרָי בַּקָּמִים עָלַי מְרֵעִים תִּשְׁמַעְנָה אׇזְנָֽי׃

בקמים עלי מרעים. על הרשעים הקמים עלי שמעו אזני מאחורי הפרגוד שלא יועילו לכלות אותנו, כך שמעתי:
צַדִּיק כַּתָּמָר יִפְרָח כְּאֶרֶז בַּלְּבָנוֹן יִשְׂגֶּֽה׃
