יְהֹוָה מָלָךְ גֵּאוּת לָבֵשׁ לָבֵשׁ יְהֹוָה עֹז הִתְאַזָּר אַף־תִּכּוֹן תֵּבֵל בַּל־תִּמּֽוֹט׃
The Lord reigns, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is robed; he has girded himself with strength: the world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

אף תכון תבל. במלכו תשמח הארץ:
נָכוֹן כִּסְאֲךָ מֵאָז מֵעוֹלָם אָֽתָּה׃

נשאו נהרות ה'. לשון צעקה וקובלן הוא זה אהה ה' הנה האומו' השוטפים כנהרו' נשאו קולם יהמיון ואת דוך עמקי נבכיהם ישאו ויגביהו תמיד להתגאות נגדך, כל לשון דכא לשון עומק ושפלות:
מִקֹּלוֹת ׀ מַיִם רַבִּים אַדִּירִים מִשְׁבְּרֵי־יָם אַדִּיר בַּמָּרוֹם יְהֹוָֽה׃

מקלות מים רבים וגו'. ידעתי אני כי יותר מקולות המים הרבים אשר יהמיון עלינו ומאדירי משברי הים הזה אתה אדיר במרום ה' וידך תקיפה עליהם:
עֵֽדֹתֶיךָ ׀ נֶאֶמְנוּ מְאֹד לְבֵיתְךָ נַאֲוָה־קֹדֶשׁ יְהֹוָה לְאֹרֶךְ יָמִֽים׃ {פ}

עדתיך. שהעידו והבטיחו נביאך לביתך שהוא נאוה קודש:
נאמנו מאד לביתך. ולאורך ימים הוא מצפה להם ואע"פ שארכו הימים נאמנים הם לה' מאד:
נאוה. כמו (לעיל טו) נאות אלהים לשון נאוה ותדע שכל נוה שבמקרא אינן מפקין אל"ף לפי שהם לשון נוי וזה מפיק אל"ף:
