עַל הַר־גָּבֹהַּ עֲלִי־לָךְ מְבַשֶּׂרֶת צִיּוֹן הָרִימִי בַכֹּחַ קוֹלֵךְ מְבַשֶּׂרֶת יְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִם הָרִימִי אַל־תִּירָאִי אִמְרִי לְעָרֵי יְהוּדָה הִנֵּה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃
Thou that bringest good tidings to Żiyyon, get thee up into the high mountain; Thou that bringest good tidings to Yerushalayim, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Yehuda, Behold your God!

הִנֵּה אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה בְּחָזָק יָבוֹא וּזְרֹעוֹ מֹשְׁלָה לוֹ הִנֵּה שְׂכָרוֹ אִתּוֹ וּפְעֻלָּתוֹ לְפָנָֽיו׃
Behold, the Lord God will come with might, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his hire before him,

בחזק יבוא. על האומות ליפרע:
הנה שכרו אתו. מזומן אתו לצדיקים:
ופעולתו. שכר פעולה שעליו ליתן להם:
כְּרֹעֶה עֶדְרוֹ יִרְעֶה בִּזְרֹעוֹ יְקַבֵּץ טְלָאִים וּבְחֵיקוֹ יִשָּׂא עָלוֹת יְנַהֵֽל׃ {ס}
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

כרועה. אשר עדרו ירעה בזרועו מקבץ טלאים ובחיקו נושאם:
עלות ינהל. מיניקתא בניח מדבר, הצאן המניקות:
ינהל. כמו מנהל:
מבשרת ציון. נבייא דמבשרין לציון ובמקום אחר הוא אומר רגלי מבשר (לקמן כב) זכו קל כזכר לא זכו תש כנקבה ומאחר פעמיו עד הקץ:
