וְעַתָּה שְׁמַע יַעֲקֹב עַבְדִּי וְיִשְׂרָאֵל בָּחַרְתִּי בֽוֹ׃

כֹּה־אָמַר יְהֹוָה עֹשֶׂךָ וְיֹצֶרְךָ מִבֶּטֶן יַעְזְרֶךָּ אַל־תִּירָא עַבְדִּי יַעֲקֹב וִישֻׁרוּן בָּחַרְתִּי בֽוֹ׃
thus says the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, who will help thee; Fear not, O Ya῾aqov, my servant; and thou, Yeshurun, whom I have chosen.

כִּי אֶצׇּק־מַיִם עַל־צָמֵא וְנֹזְלִים עַל־יַבָּשָׁה אֶצֹּק רוּחִי עַל־זַרְעֶךָ וּבִרְכָתִי עַל־צֶאֱצָאֶֽיךָ׃
For I will pour water upon the thirsty land, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thy offspring:

כי אצק מים על צמא. כמו שאני יוצק מים על צמא כן אצק רוחי על זרעך:
וְצָמְחוּ בְּבֵין חָצִיר כַּעֲרָבִים עַל־יִבְלֵי־מָֽיִם׃
and they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.

וצמחו בבין חציר. בתוך עמלק על ידי גרים שיתוספו עליהם, בין חציר הוא עמלק שנאמר עליו והיתה נוה תנים חציר לבנות יענה (לעיל ד):
זֶה יֹאמַר לַיהֹוָה אָנִי וְזֶה יִקְרָא בְשֵֽׁם־יַעֲקֹב וְזֶה יִכְתֹּב יָדוֹ לַֽיהֹוָה וּבְשֵׁם יִשְׂרָאֵל יְכַנֶּֽה׃ {פ}
One shall say, I am the Lord’s; and another shall call himself by the name of Ya῾aqov; and another shall subscribe with his hand to the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Yisra᾽el.

זה יאמר לה' אני. אלו צדיקים גמורים:

ובשם ישראל יכנה. אלו הגרים מעכו"ם כך שנויה באבות דרבי נתן:
ועתה שמע. לשוב לתורתי יעקב עבדי:
