וְאַתֶּם קִרְבוּ־הֵנָּה בְּנֵי עֹנְנָה זֶרַע מְנָאֵף וַתִּזְנֶֽה׃
But draw near, O sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the harlot.

זרע מנאף. שהזכר מנאף:

עַל־מִי תִּתְעַנָּגוּ עַל־מִי תַּרְחִיבוּ פֶה תַּאֲרִיכוּ לָשׁוֹן הֲלוֹא־אַתֶּם יִלְדֵי־פֶשַׁע זֶרַע שָֽׁקֶר׃
Against whom do you make sport? against whom do you open wide your mouth, and draw out the tongue? are you not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,

על מי תתענגו. מאחר ששבתם מאחרי על מי תשענו להתענג בטובה אילו זכיתם אז תתענגו על ה' אבל עכשיו על מי תתענגו:
על מי תרחיבו פה. כשאתם מתעתעים ומלעיבים בנביאיו:
הַנֵּֽחָמִים בָּאֵלִים תַּחַת כׇּל־עֵץ רַעֲנָן שֹׁחֲטֵי הַיְלָדִים בַּנְּחָלִים תַּחַת סְעִפֵי הַסְּלָעִֽים׃

הנחמים באלים. המתחממין בש"ז תחת אלה ואלון:
שוחטי הילדים. לקרבן עכו"ם:
סעיפי. נקרת הצורים וכן (שופטים ט״ו:י״א) אל סעיף סלע:
בְּחַלְּקֵי־נַחַל חֶלְקֵךְ הֵם הֵם גּוֹרָלֵךְ גַּם־לָהֶם שָׁפַכְתְּ נֶסֶךְ הֶעֱלִית מִנְחָה הַעַל אֵלֶּה אֶנָּחֵֽם׃
Among the smooth stones of the wadi is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meal offering. Shall I be appeased for these things?

בחלקי נחל. אבנים אשר בנחל:
חלקך. בהם ירגמו אותך:
הם הם גורלך. להתעצב בהם למה כי גם להם שפכת נסך:
העל אלה אנחם. מלהרע לך:
עַל הַר־גָּבֹהַּ וְנִשָּׂא שַׂמְתְּ מִשְׁכָּבֵךְ גַּם־שָׁם עָלִית לִזְבֹּחַ זָֽבַח׃

שמת משכבך. משכב ניאופך לעכו"ם על ההרים הרמי':
וְאַחַר הַדֶּלֶת וְהַמְּזוּזָה שַׂמְתְּ זִכְרוֹנֵךְ כִּי מֵאִתִּי גִּלִּית וַֽתַּעֲלִי הִרְחַבְתְּ מִשְׁכָּבֵךְ וַתִּכְרׇת־לָךְ מֵהֶם אָהַבְתְּ מִשְׁכָּבָם יָד חָזִֽית׃

ואחר הדלת והמזוזה שמת זכרונך. למי שהוא מדמה אותה לאשה מנאפ' אשר נואפי' צופים וממתינים לפני פתח ביתה והיא לבה וזכרונה אל הדלת והמזוזה איך תפתח ותצא אליהם:
כי מאתי גלית ותעלי. אצלי היית שוכבת וגלית הכיסוי שהיו מכוסי' יחד ותעלי מאצלי:
הרחבת משכבך. לקבל בו נואפי' הרבה:
ותכרת לך. ברית מהם:
אהבת משכבם. כשחזית לך יד ומקום להראות להם אהבתך:
יד. אייש"י בלע"ז וכן ראו חלקת יואב אל ידי (ש"ב יד):
וַתָּשֻׁרִי לַמֶּלֶךְ בַּשֶּׁמֶן וַתַּרְבִּי רִקֻּחָיִךְ וַתְּשַׁלְּחִי צִרַיִךְ עַד־מֵרָחֹק וַתַּשְׁפִּילִי עַד־שְׁאֽוֹל׃

ותשורי למלך בשמן. ואני מתחלה גדלתיך והיית מקבלת פני מלכך בכל מיני תפנוקים, ותשורי לשון ראיית פנים כמו אשורנו ולא קרוב (במדבר כ״ד:י״ז) וכן (שמואל א ט׳:ז׳) ותשורה אין להביא דורון של הקבלת פנים:
ותשלחי ציריך. שלוחייך למרחוק לגבות מס ממלכי האומות:
ותשפילי. את חזקי האומות עד שאול כן תרגמו יונתן:
בְּרֹב דַּרְכֵּךְ יָגַעַתְּ לֹא אָמַרְתְּ נוֹאָשׁ חַיַּת יָדֵךְ מָצָאת עַל־כֵּן לֹא חָלִֽית׃
Thou art wearied with the length of the way; yet thou didst not say, It is hopeless: thou hast found a renewal of thy strength; therefore thou wast not sick.

ברוב דרכך יגעת. נתעסקת בצרכייך למלאות תאותך להרבות הונך:
לא אמרת נואש. אתייאש מאלו ולא אחיש עוד לעסוק בהן כי בתורה ובמצות אתן לב:
חית ידך מצאת. צורך ידך מצאת הצלחת במעשיך:
על כן לא חלית. לא נחלה לבך לדאג על עבודתי לעסוק בתורה חית. לשון ערבי הוא צורך:
וְאֶת־מִי דָּאַגְתְּ וַתִּֽירְאִי כִּי תְכַזֵּבִי וְאוֹתִי לֹא זָכַרְתְּ לֹא־שַׂמְתְּ עַל־לִבֵּךְ הֲלֹא אֲנִי מַחְשֶׁה וּמֵעֹלָם וְאוֹתִי לֹא תִירָֽאִי׃
And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou wast false, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? is it not that I held my peace even of old? therefore thou fearest me not?

ואת מי דאגת. ממי נתייראת:
כי תכזבי. כי פסקת לך מעבודתי וכזבת בי כמו לא יכזבו מימיו (לקמן נח) כל האדם כוזב (תהילים קט״ז:י״א) פליינצ"א בלע"ז וכן כל לשון כזב מי שבוטחין עליו והוא כוזב ובוגד:
הלא אני מחשה. שהחשתי על כמה פשעים שפשעת בי:
אֲנִי אַגִּיד צִדְקָתֵךְ וְאֶֽת־מַעֲשַׂיִךְ וְלֹא יוֹעִילֽוּךְ׃
I will declare thy righteousness; and as for thy works, they shall not profit thee.

אני אגיד צדקתך. אני תמיד מגיד לך דברים שאם תעשי אותם תצדקי:
ואת מעשיך. שאתה עושה שלא ברצוני לא יועילוך בעת רעתך:
בְּזַֽעֲקֵךְ יַצִּילֻךְ קִבּוּצַיִךְ וְאֶת־כֻּלָּם יִשָּׂא־רוּחַ יִקַּח־הָבֶל וְהַחוֹסֶה בִי יִנְחַל־אֶרֶץ וְיִירַשׁ הַר־קׇדְשִֽׁי׃
When thou criest, let thy collection of idols deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; a breath shall bear them off: but he that puts his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.

בזעקך יצילוך קבוציך. יקומו נא קבוצו' אלילי' ופסילים ומכחישי תורה אשר קבצת ויצילוך בזעקך מצרתך הלא את כולם ישא רוח ולא יוכלו להציל:
וְאָמַר סֹֽלּוּ־סֹלּוּ פַּנּוּ־דָרֶךְ הָרִימוּ מִכְשׁוֹל מִדֶּרֶךְ עַמִּֽי׃ {ס}

ואמר סלו סלו. כה אמר הנביא בשמי לעמי כבשו מסילה סלולה פנו יצר הרע מדרכיכם:
הרימו מכשול. סלקו האבנים שאתם נכשלי' רגליכ' בהם הם הירהורי רשע:
ואתם קרבו הנה. הנותרים משנסתלקו הצדיקים ותקבלו פורענותיכם:
