רוּחַ אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה עָלָי יַעַן מָשַׁח יְהֹוָה אֹתִי לְבַשֵּׂר עֲנָוִים שְׁלָחַנִי לַחֲבֹשׁ לְנִשְׁבְּרֵי־לֵב לִקְרֹא לִשְׁבוּיִם דְּרוֹר וְלַאֲסוּרִים פְּקַח־קֽוֹחַ׃
The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to announce good tidings to the meek; he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

לקרוא לשבויים דרור. כלומר לבשר להם בשורת הגאולה:
פקח קוח. פקח את מלקוחם ושבים והתירם:
לִקְרֹא שְׁנַת־רָצוֹן לַֽיהֹוָה וְיוֹם נָקָם לֵאלֹהֵינוּ לְנַחֵם כׇּל־אֲבֵלִֽים׃

תַּחַת בׇּשְׁתְּכֶם מִשְׁנֶה וּכְלִמָּה יָרֹנּוּ חֶלְקָם לָכֵן בְּאַרְצָם מִשְׁנֶה יִירָשׁוּ שִׂמְחַת עוֹלָם תִּהְיֶה לָהֶֽם׃

תחת בשתכם. שהיה משנה אף הם כלמה ירונו תמיד חלקם כלו' תחת אשר עד הנה תמיד עמי היו רוננים כלמה חלקם יש רנה שהוא אבל כמו (איכה ב׳:י״ט) קומי רוני בלילה וכמו (מ"א כב) ותעבור הרנה דאחאב:
