וַיהֹוָה הוֹדִיעַנִי וָאֵדָעָה אָז הִרְאִיתַנִי מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃
And the Lord has given me knowledge of it, and I know it: then Thou didst show me their doings.

וַאֲנִי כְּכֶבֶשׂ אַלּוּף יוּבַל לִטְבוֹחַ וְלֹֽא־יָדַעְתִּי כִּֽי־עָלַי ׀ חָשְׁבוּ מַחֲשָׁבוֹת נַשְׁחִיתָה עֵץ בְּלַחְמוֹ וְנִכְרְתֶנּוּ מֵאֶרֶץ חַיִּים וּשְׁמוֹ לֹא־יִזָּכֵר עֽוֹד׃
But I was like a gentle lamb brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

ואני ככבש אלוף. אשר יובל לטבוח:
יובל. לפי שאני מודיעם הרעה הם אומרים להרגני:
ככבש. אלוף דונש ויהודה בן קוריש פתרוהו ככבש ופר אשר יובל לטבח ואלוף כמו שגר אלפיך (דברים כ״ח:ד׳) ואע"פ שלא נאמר אלוף יש לנו כיוצא בו שמש ירח עמד זבולה (חבקוק ג׳:י״א) כסוס עגור כן אצפצף (ישעיהו ל״ח:י״ד) ומנחם פתר ככבש אלוף כבש גדול (ע' בתהלים נ"ח בפרש"י) ויונתן מסייעו שתירגם כאימר בחיר:
נשחיתה עץ בלחמו. נרמי סמא דמותא במכליה:
וַיהֹוָה צְבָאוֹת שֹׁפֵט צֶדֶק בֹּחֵן כְּלָיוֹת וָלֵב אֶרְאֶה נִקְמָֽתְךָ מֵהֶם כִּי אֵלֶיךָ גִּלִּיתִי אֶת־רִיבִֽי׃ {ס}
