וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹוָה אֵלָי נִֽמְצָא־קֶשֶׁר בְּאִישׁ יְהוּדָה וּבְיֹשְׁבֵי יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
And the Lord said to me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Yehuda, and among the inhabitants of Yerushalayim.

שָׁבוּ עַל־עֲוֺנֹת אֲבוֹתָם הָרִאשֹׁנִים אֲשֶׁר מֵֽאֲנוּ לִשְׁמוֹעַ אֶת־דְּבָרַי וְהֵמָּה הָלְכוּ אַחֲרֵי אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים לְעׇבְדָם הֵפֵרוּ בֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבֵית יְהוּדָה אֶת־בְּרִיתִי אֲשֶׁר כָּרַתִּי אֶת־אֲבוֹתָֽם׃ {ס}
They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words; and they have gone after other gods to serve them: the house of Yisra᾽el and the house of Yehuda have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
