עֲלִי הַלְּבָנוֹן וּֽצְעָקִי וּבַבָּשָׁן תְּנִי קוֹלֵךְ וְצַֽעֲקִי מֵעֲבָרִים כִּי נִשְׁבְּרוּ כׇּל־מְאַהֲבָֽיִךְ׃
Go up to Levanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from ῾Avarim: for all thy lovers are destroyed.

ובבשן תני קולך. על הבשן שיחרב וי"ת ובתרעי טור ביתא ואיני יודע לפרש האיך נופל לשון בשן בשערי הר הבית אם לא בשביל הדלתות שעושין מאלוני הבשן והוא שם מקום או לשון בשן מקום בקע' רחבה כן היקף הר הבית מגרש ריוח לבה"מ:
וצעקי מעברים. וצוחי על מגיזתא והם לשון מקום:
דִּבַּרְתִּי אֵלַיִךְ בְּשַׁלְוֺתַיִךְ אָמַרְתְּ לֹא אֶשְׁמָע זֶה דַרְכֵּךְ מִנְּעוּרַיִךְ כִּי לֹא־שָׁמַעַתְּ בְּקוֹלִֽי׃
I spoke to thee in thy prosperity; but thou didst say, I will not hear. This has been thy manner from thy youth, that thou didst not obey my voice.

כׇּל־רֹעַיִךְ תִּרְעֶה־רוּחַ וּֽמְאַהֲבַיִךְ בַּשְּׁבִי יֵלֵכוּ כִּי אָז תֵּבֹשִׁי וְנִכְלַמְתְּ מִכֹּל רָעָתֵֽךְ׃
The wind shall drive away all thy shepherds, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.

תרעה רוח. רוח קדים תרוצצם:
(ישבתי) [יֹשַׁבְתְּ] בַּלְּבָנוֹן (מקננתי) [מְקֻנַּנְתְּ] בָּאֲרָזִים מַה־נֵּחַנְתְּ בְּבֹא־לָךְ חֲבָלִים חִיל כַּיֹּלֵדָֽה׃
O inhabitant of Levanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how pitiable shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!

מקוננת בארזי'. ששמת קנך במגדלות בתי ארזי' לבנות בתי מדות:
מה נחנת. מה מצאת חן בשביל גובה מגדלייך בעיני שודדיך בבא לך חבלים של לידה ומנחם פתר נחנת ל' חניה אבל דונש פתר אותו ל' חן:
חַי־אָנִי נְאֻם־יְהֹוָה כִּי אִם־יִהְיֶה כׇּנְיָהוּ בֶן־יְהֽוֹיָקִים מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה חוֹתָם עַל־יַד יְמִינִי כִּי מִשָּׁם אֶתְּקֶֽנְךָּ׃
As I live, says the Lord, though Konyahu the son of Yehoyaqim king of Yehuda were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I tear thee off;

חותם על יד ימיני. חקוק וחתום בתוך בשר זרועי:
אתקנך. אנתקך לשון התיקם כצאן לטבחה (לעיל יב) עד התיקנו אותם (יהושע ח׳:ו׳) והנו"ן יתירה בו ומדרש אגדה במקום שנתק נתקן שעשה תשובה בבבל ונשאל הקב"ה על שנשבע כתבו את האיש הזה ערירי (כאן) ונולד לו זרובבל בבבל ונאמר לו על פי הנביא ביום ההוא אקחך זרובבל בן שאלתיאל עבדי ושמתיך כחותם (לקמן סוף מ"ג) כלפי שאמר לאביו אם יהיה חותם על יד ימיני אנתקנו:
וּנְתַתִּיךָ בְּיַד מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשֶׁךָ וּבְיַד אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּה יָגוֹר מִפְּנֵיהֶם וּבְיַד נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל וּבְיַד הַכַּשְׂדִּֽים׃
