וַיִּמְלׇךְ־מֶלֶךְ צִדְקִיָּהוּ בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ תַּחַת כָּנְיָהוּ בֶּן־יְהוֹיָקִים אֲשֶׁר הִמְלִיךְ נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל בְּאֶרֶץ יְהוּדָֽה׃
And king Żidqiyyahu the son of Yoshiyyahu reigned instead of Konyahu the son of Yehoyaqim, whom Nevukhadreżżar king of Bavel made king in the land of Yehuda.

וְלֹא שָׁמַע הוּא וַעֲבָדָיו וְעַם הָאָרֶץ אֶל־דִּבְרֵי יְהֹוָה אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר בְּיַד יִרְמְיָהוּ הַנָּבִֽיא׃

And Żidqiyyahu the king sent Yehukhal the son of Shelemya and Żefanyahu the son of Ma῾aseya the priest to the prophet Yirmeyahu, saying, Pray for us to the Lord our God.

וירמיהו בא ויוצא בתוך העם. כשמלך צדקיהו צוה והוציאוהו מבית הכלא שכלאו יהויקים שצדקיה היה צדיק ודורו רשעים ויהויקי' היה רשע ודורו צדיקים:
וְחֵיל פַּרְעֹה יָצָא מִמִּצְרָיִם וַיִּשְׁמְעוּ הַכַּשְׂדִּים הַצָּרִים עַל־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם אֶת־שִׁמְעָם וַיֵּעָלוּ מֵעַל יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ {פ}
Then Par῾o’s army was come out of Miżrayim: and when the Kasdim that besieged Yerushalayim heard tidings of them, they departed from Yerushalayim.

וחיל פרעה יצא ממצרים. לעזרה ליהודה:
וימלך מלך. לפי שמעתה בא לספר ולומר שנתקיימו הפורעניות שנבא עד הנה התחיל לומר כן ובבא עת הפקודה שיקרבו הימים להתקיים הדברים וימלך מלך אחר על יהודה תחת כניהו בן יהויקים וגו':
