Yirmeyahu 41:11-15

41:11

וַיִּשְׁמַע יוֹחָנָן בֶּן־קָרֵחַ וְכׇל־שָׂרֵי הַחֲיָלִים אֲשֶׁר אִתּוֹ אֵת כׇּל־הָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה יִשְׁמָעֵאל בֶּן־נְתַנְיָֽה׃

But when Yoĥanan the son of Qareaĥ, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, heard of all the evil that Yishma᾽el the son of Netanya had done,

41:12

וַיִּקְחוּ אֶת־כׇּל־הָאֲנָשִׁים וַיֵּלְכוּ לְהִלָּחֵם עִם־יִשְׁמָעֵאל בֶּן־נְתַנְיָה וַיִּמְצְאוּ אֹתוֹ אֶל־מַיִם רַבִּים אֲשֶׁר בְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃

then they took all the men, and went to fight with Yishma᾽el the son of Netanya, and found him by the great pool of waters that are in Giv῾on.

Rashi

אל מים רבים. על ברכת מיין סגיאין:

41:13

וַיְהִי כִּרְאוֹת כׇּל־הָעָם אֲשֶׁר אֶת־יִשְׁמָעֵאל אֶת־יֽוֹחָנָן בֶּן־קָרֵחַ וְאֵת כׇּל־שָׂרֵי הַחֲיָלִים אֲשֶׁר אִתּוֹ וַיִּשְׂמָֽחוּ׃

Now it came to pass, that when all the people who were with Yishma᾽el saw Yoĥanan the son of Qareaĥ, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, then they were glad.

41:14

וַיָּסֹבּוּ כׇּל־הָעָם אֲשֶׁר־שָׁבָה יִשְׁמָעֵאל מִן־הַמִּצְפָּה וַיָּשֻׁבוּ וַיֵּלְכוּ אֶל־יוֹחָנָן בֶּן־קָרֵֽחַ׃

So all the people that Yishma᾽el had carried away captive from Miżpa turned about and came back, and went to Yoĥanan the son of Qareaĥ.

41:15

וְיִשְׁמָעֵאל בֶּן־נְתַנְיָה נִמְלַט בִּשְׁמֹנָה אֲנָשִׁים מִפְּנֵי יוֹחָנָן וַיֵּלֶךְ אֶל־בְּנֵי עַמּֽוֹן׃ {ס}

But Yishma᾽el the son of Netanya escaped from Yoĥanan with eight men, and went to the children of ‘Ammon.
