וְעַתָּה כֹּה־אָמַר יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵי צְבָאוֹת אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָמָה אַתֶּם עֹשִׂים רָעָה גְדוֹלָה אֶל־נַפְשֹׁתֵכֶם לְהַכְרִית לָכֶם אִישׁ־וְאִשָּׁה עוֹלֵל וְיוֹנֵק מִתּוֹךְ יְהוּדָה לְבִלְתִּי הוֹתִיר לָכֶם שְׁאֵרִֽית׃
Therefore now thus says the Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Yisra᾽el; Why do you commit this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, from the midst of Yehuda, leaving you no remnant;

לְהַכְעִסֵנִי בְּמַעֲשֵׂי יְדֵיכֶם לְקַטֵּר לֵאלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּם בָּאִים לָגוּר שָׁם לְמַעַן הַכְרִית לָכֶם וּלְמַעַן הֱיֽוֹתְכֶם לִקְלָלָה וּלְחֶרְפָּה בְּכֹל גּוֹיֵ הָאָֽרֶץ׃
in that you provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Miżrayim into which you are gone to dwell, that you might cut yourselves off, and that you might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

הַֽשְׁכַחְתֶּם אֶת־רָעוֹת אֲבוֹתֵיכֶם וְאֶת־רָעוֹת ׀ מַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה וְאֵת רָעוֹת נָשָׁיו וְאֵת רָעֹתֵכֶם וְאֵת רָעֹת נְשֵׁיכֶם אֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ בְּאֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה וּבְחֻצוֹת יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Yehuda, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives which they have committed in the land of Yehuda, and in the streets of Yerushalayim?

לֹא דֻכְּאוּ עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה וְלֹא יָֽרְאוּ וְלֹא־הָלְכוּ בְתֽוֹרָתִי וּבְחֻקֹּתַי אֲשֶׁר־נָתַתִּי לִפְנֵיכֶם וְלִפְנֵי אֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ {ס}
They are not humbled to this day, neither have they feared, nor followed my Tora, nor my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
