2:25

אֱדַיִן אַרְיוֹךְ בְּהִתְבְּהָלָה הַנְעֵל לְדָנִיֵּאל קֳדָם מַלְכָּא וְכֵן אֲמַר־לֵהּ דִּֽי־הַשְׁכַּחַת גְּבַר מִן־בְּנֵי גָֽלוּתָא דִּי יְהוּד דִּי פִשְׁרָא לְמַלְכָּא יְהוֹדַֽע׃

Then Aryoch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus to him: I have found a man of the exiles of Judah, who will make known to the king the interpretation.

בהתבהלה. בבהלה כלומר במהירות:

הנעל. הכניס את דניאל:

די השכחת גבר. אשר מצאתי איש:

גלותא די יהוד. גלות יהודה:

2:26

עָנֵה מַלְכָּא וְאָמַר לְדָנִיֵּאל דִּי שְׁמֵהּ בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּר (האיתיך) [הַֽאִיתָךְ] כָּהֵל לְהוֹדָעֻתַנִי חֶלְמָא דִֽי־חֲזֵית וּפִשְׁרֵֽהּ׃

The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belshazzar: Art thou able to make known unto me the dream that I have seen, and its meaning?

האיתך כהל. הישך יכול:

די חזית. אשר ראיתי:

2:27

עָנֵה דָנִיֵּאל קֳדָם מַלְכָּא וְאָמַר רָזָא דִּֽי־מַלְכָּא שָׁאֵל לָא חַכִּימִין אָֽשְׁפִין חַרְטֻמִּין גָּזְרִין יָכְלִין לְהַֽחֲוָיָה לְמַלְכָּֽא׃

Daniel answered in the presence of the king and said: The secret which the king has demanded is one that the wise men, the astrologers, the bone-conjurers, and the snake charmers cannot declare to the king.

2:28

בְּרַם אִיתַי אֱלָהּ בִּשְׁמַיָּא גָּלֵא רָזִין וְהוֹדַע לְמַלְכָּא נְבֽוּכַדְנֶצַּר מָה דִּי לֶהֱוֵא בְּאַחֲרִית יוֹמַיָּא חֶלְמָךְ וְחֶזְוֵי רֵאשָׁךְ עַֽל־מִשְׁכְּבָךְ דְּנָה הֽוּא׃ {ס}

But there is a G-d in heaven who reveals secret things, and makes known to King Nevuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dreams, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed are these:

ברם איתי וגו': והודע למלכא וגו'. הוא גילה לי רז זה ועל ידו הודיע למלך עיקר חלומו בעתידות:

חלמך וחזוי ראשך על משכבך. אשר על משכבך זהו:
