(אנתה) [אַנְתְּ] מַלְכָּא רַעְיוֹנָךְ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבָךְ סְלִקוּ מָה דִּי לֶהֱוֵא אַחֲרֵי דְנָה וְגָלֵא רָזַיָּא הוֹדְעָךְ מָה־דִי לֶהֱוֵֽא׃
As for thee, O king, thy [daytime] thoughts came up to thee upon thy bed, as to what should come to pass hereafter. And He who reveals secret things has made known to thee what shall come to pass.

על משכבך סליקו. מה שהיית מהרהר ביום מה יהיה אחריך על משכבך עלו:
וגלא רזיא הודעך. והקב"ה מגלה רזים הודיעך את אשר יהיה:
וַאֲנָה לָא בְחׇכְמָה דִּֽי־אִיתַי בִּי מִן־כׇּל־חַיַּיָּא רָזָא דְנָה גֱּלִי לִי לָהֵן עַל־דִּבְרַת דִּי פִשְׁרָא לְמַלְכָּא יְהוֹדְעוּן וְרַעְיוֹנֵי לִבְבָךְ תִּנְדַּֽע׃ {ס}
But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living being, but in order that the interpretation shall be made known to the king, and that thou mightest know [the answer to] the [constant] thoughts of thy heart [i.e., Who shall succeed me?]

ואנה לא בחכמה. ואני לא מרוב החכמה שיש בי משאר הבריות יותר נגלה לי הסוד הזה:
להן על דברת די פשרא למלכא יהודעון. יודיעוך מן השמים:
ורעיוני לבבך תנדע. והרהורי לבבך שאתה מהרהר תמיד לדעת מי יקום אחריך:
תנדע. תדע:
