מִשְׁלֵי שְׁלֹמֹה בֵּן חָכָם יְשַׂמַּח־אָב וּבֵן כְּסִיל תּוּגַת אִמּֽוֹ׃

ובן כסיל תוגת אמו. תמיד הוא עם אמו בבית ורואה את שטותו ומצירה, ולפי המשל בן כסיל כמו ירבעם בן נבט:

שנאה תעורר מדנים. אפילו עבירה שנתנה לשכחה נזכרת ע"י מרבית עוונות באה שנאה אחרונה ומעוררתן שכן יחזקאל הוכיח את ישראל על עבירות מצרים ואומר להם איש את שקוצי עיניו השליכו וגו' (יחזקאל כ) כמה (שנים היתה) שנאה זו כבושה ולא הזכיר' להם הקב"ה עד עכשיו שהרבו עבירות על פשעיהם:
ועל כל פשעים תכסה אהבה. כשישראל מטיבים מעשיהם הקב"ה מכסה על פשעיהם:
בְּשִׂפְתֵי נָבוֹן תִּמָּצֵא חׇכְמָה וְשֵׁבֶט לְגֵו חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃
