לָכֵן כֹּה־אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה חַי־אָנִי אִם־לֹא אָֽלָתִי אֲשֶׁר בָּזָה וּבְרִיתִי אֲשֶׁר הֵפִיר וּנְתַתִּיו בְּרֹאשֽׁוֹ׃
Therefore thus says the Lord God; As I live, surely my oath that he has despised, and my covenant that he has broken, even that will I recompense upon his own head.

וּפָרַשְׂתִּי עָלָיו רִשְׁתִּי וְנִתְפַּשׂ בִּמְצוּדָתִי וַהֲבִיאוֹתִיהוּ בָבֶלָה וְנִשְׁפַּטְתִּי אִתּוֹ שָׁם מַעֲלוֹ אֲשֶׁר מָעַל־בִּֽי׃
And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Bavel, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he has trespassed against me.

ופרשתי עליו רשתי. כמו שפירשתו למעלה בתחילת הספר (לעיל יב) שזימן צבי להלוך על גג המערה:
ונשפטתי. ואתווכח עמו:
וְאֵת כׇּל־מִבְרָחָו בְּכׇל־אֲגַפָּיו בַּחֶרֶב יִפֹּלוּ וְהַנִּשְׁאָרִים לְכׇל־רוּחַ יִפָּרֵשׂוּ וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי אֲנִי יְהֹוָה דִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃ {פ}
And all his fugitives of all his troops shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered to all the winds: and you shall know that I the Lord have spoken it.

ואת כל מברחיו. כתרגומו וית כל גיברוהי ומנחם חברו עם ברח דודי (סוף ש"ה) וכה פתרונו ואת כל הבורחים:
בכל אגפיו. בכל כנפיהם כלומר בכל כחם בחרב יפולו:
יפרשו. שרונאפנדו"ן בלע"ז:
ונתתיו בראשו. הוא סמוי עיניו:
