בֶּן־אָדָם שִׂים פָּנֶיךָ אֶל־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם וְהַטֵּף אֶל־מִקְדָּשִׁים וְהִנָּבֵא אֶל־אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Son of man, set thy face toward Yerushalayim, and preach towards the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Yisra᾽el,

והטף. והנבא וכן אל תטיפו (מיכה ב) ואל תטיף על בית ישחק (עמוס ז):
אל מקדשים. הוא יער השדה:
מקדשים. שני חורבנים:
וְאָמַרְתָּ לְאַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵל כֹּה אָמַר יְהֹוָה הִנְנִי אֵלַיִךְ וְהוֹצֵאתִי חַרְבִּי מִתַּעְרָהּ וְהִכְרַתִּי מִמֵּךְ צַדִּיק וְרָשָֽׁע׃
and say to the land of Yisra᾽el, Thus says the Lord; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.

צדיק ורשע. הוא הלח והיבש:
יַעַן אֲשֶׁר־הִכְרַתִּי מִמֵּךְ צַדִּיק וְרָשָׁע לָכֵן תֵּצֵא חַרְבִּי מִתַּעְרָהּ אֶל־כׇּל־בָּשָׂר מִנֶּגֶב צָפֽוֹן׃
Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go out of its sheath: against all flesh from the south to the north:

יען אשר הכרתי ממך. וידעתי כי ישמחו העובדי כוכבים לאידכם אקצוף עליהם ואגרה את נבוכדנצר בכולם והוא שכתבתי ונצרבו בה כל פנים הדרומיים:
וְיָֽדְעוּ כׇּל־בָּשָׂר כִּי אֲנִי יְהֹוָה הוֹצֵאתִי חַרְבִּי מִתַּעְרָהּ לֹא תָשׁוּב עֽוֹד׃ {ס}
