וְהָיָה בַיּוֹם הַהוּא אֶתֵּן לְגוֹג ׀ מְקֽוֹם־שָׁם קֶבֶר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל גֵּי הָעֹֽבְרִים קִדְמַת הַיָּם וְחֹסֶמֶת הִיא אֶת־הָעֹֽבְרִים וְקָבְרוּ שָׁם אֶת־גּוֹג וְאֶת־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנֹה וְקָרְאוּ גֵּיא הֲמוֹן גּֽוֹג׃
And it shall come to pass on that day, that I will give to Gog a place for burial in Yisra᾽el, the valley of those who travel to the east of the sea: and it shall block the path of the travellers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The Valley of Hamon-gog (the Multitude of Gog).

גי העוברים. גי שהם עוברים את ים כנרת להביא משם פירות גינוסר תמיד:
קדמת הים. ת"י במדנח ים גינוסר:
וחוסמת היא את העוברים. וסוגרת היא את העוברים כמו לא תחסום (דברים כה) שרוב פגרים שיפלו שם יחדלו את העוברים מעבור לפיכך יעברו עליהם ויקברו אותם ומנחם פתרו בספרו יחסמו את אפם מלהריח ריח הפגרי':
וּקְבָרוּם בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמַעַן טַהֵר אֶת־הָאָרֶץ שִׁבְעָה חֳדָשִֽׁים׃

וקברו כל עם הארץ. שמתו שם:
והיה להם לשם. כל העכו"ם יספרו את שמם לשבח ולחסד אין לך כאומה זו רחמנים יש לך אדם שקובר את אויבו שעמד עליו להורגו:
וְאַנְשֵׁי תָמִיד יַבְדִּילוּ עֹבְרִים בָּאָרֶץ מְקַבְּרִים אֶת־הָעֹבְרִים אֶת־הַנּוֹתָרִים עַל־פְּנֵי הָאָרֶץ לְטַהֲרָהּ מִקְצֵה שִׁבְעָה־חֳדָשִׁים יַחְקֹֽרוּ׃
And permanent officers shall despatch men to range the land and with these rangers they shall bury those that remain above the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months they will make their search.

ואנשי תמיד. אנשים המותמדים לכך יבדילו ישראל כדי לעבור בארץ ללקט את המפוזרים:
מקברים את העוברים. מקברים עם העוברים את הפגרים החוסמין ומעכבין את המעבר שהעוברין את הים מקברים אותם להנאתם, את העוברים עם העוברים כך שמעתי וכן ת"י:
את הנותרים על פני הארץ. רחוק מן המעבר שאין העוברי' את הים מתעסקים בהם לקוברם יקברום אלה המותמדי' ומובדלים לכך:
מקצה שבעה חדשים. יכלו מרבית הפגרים הנראים לעינם להקבר ומאז והלאה יחקורו בארץ במקום המסתרים בחוחים ובין הקוצי' ויקברו מה שימצאו:
וְעָבְרוּ הָעֹֽבְרִים בָּאָרֶץ וְרָאָה עֶצֶם אָדָם וּבָנָה אֶצְלוֹ צִיּוּן עַד קָבְרוּ אֹתוֹ הַֽמְקַבְּרִים אֶל־גֵּיא הֲמוֹן גּֽוֹג׃

ועברו העוברים בארץ. הולכי דרכים שיראו עצם אדם:
ובנה אצלו ציון. סימן שיש כאן עצם של מת כדי שיפרשו ממנו הולכי דרכים ועושי טהרות עד בא אנשי התמיד המובדלים לחקור וקברו אותן:
וְגַם שֶׁם־עִיר הֲמוֹנָהֿ וְטִהֲרוּ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ {פ}
And also the name of the city shall be Hamona. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

וגם שם עיר המונה. וגם העיר ששמה עיר הומיה מרוב אדם היא עיר הגדולה גם היא חיל יושביה שם יקברו:
וטהרו. את ישראל בארץ את טהרותיהם ותרומותיהם:
המונה. לא מפיק ה"א לפי שה"א אחרונה משמשת שם דבר המונה כמו הומיה:
אתן לגוג מקום שם קבר. מקום שיהא שם קבר להם לפי שהוא מזרעו של יפת שכסה את ערות אביו לפיכך זכה לקבורה:
