וְהָיָה בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא וְנִשְׁכַּחַת צֹר שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה כִּימֵי מֶלֶךְ אֶחָד מִקֵּץ שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה יִהְיֶה לְצֹר כְּשִׁירַת הַזּוֹנָֽה׃
And it shall come to pass on that day, that Żor shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years, it shall fare with Żor as in the song of the harlot.

כימי מלך אחד. ימי דוד שבעים שנה היו ואיני יודע מהו הסימן הזה הניתן כאן:
יהיה לצור. זכרון מעט שתתנער משפלותה ותחזור לאותן שהיו רגילין אצלה לחזור אליה לשוב לקדמותה:
כשירת הזונה. שרואה שאין פונה אליה ונושאת קול ערב ונעים בשיר אולי תערב על מאהביה:
קְחִי כִנּוֹר סֹבִּי עִיר זוֹנָה נִשְׁכָּחָה הֵיטִיבִי נַגֵּן הַרְבִּי־שִׁיר לְמַעַן תִּזָּכֵֽרִי׃

הרבי שיר. כלומר אף הרבי תחנונים והשפילי גאותך:
וְהָיָה מִקֵּץ ׀ שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה יִפְקֹד יְהֹוָה אֶת־צֹר וְשָׁבָה לְאֶתְנַנָּהֿ וְזָנְתָה אֶת־כׇּל־מַמְלְכוֹת הָאָרֶץ עַל־פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָֽה׃

לאתננה. לקדמותה ולעשרה ע"י סחורתה ומכנה אותה בל' גנאי:
וזנתה. ותספק סחורה אך בל' גנאי כינה אותה:
וְהָיָה סַחְרָהּ וְאֶתְנַנָּהּ קֹדֶשׁ לַֽיהֹוָה לֹא יֵאָצֵר וְלֹא יֵחָסֵן כִּי לַיֹּשְׁבִים לִפְנֵי יְהֹוָה יִהְיֶה סַחְרָהּ לֶאֱכֹל לְשׇׂבְעָה וְלִמְכַסֶּה עָתִֽיק׃ {פ}
And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the Lord: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her gain shall be for them that dwell before the Lord, to eat sufficiently, and for stately clothing.

קדש לה'. עתידים צדיקים לבוז אותה כשיבא מלך המשיח:
לא יאצר. להיות אוצר:
ולא יחסן. לא ינחילנה לבניהם:
למכסה עתיק. למלבושי נוי, עתיק משובח כמו ידברו עתק (תהלים צד):
ונשכחת צור. לפי שמזכירה בלשון גנאי ל' זונה אמר ונשכחת כזונה ששכחוה אוהביה אף היא תשכח מאין סוחרים ותגרים פונים אליה לפי שתהיה חריבה:
