יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי אַתָּה אֲרֽוֹמִמְךָ אוֹדֶה שִׁמְךָ כִּי עָשִׂיתָ פֶּלֶא עֵצוֹת מֵרָחֹק אֱמוּנָה אֹֽמֶן׃
O Lord, Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name; for Thou hast done wonderful things – counsels of old in faithfulness and truth.

אמונה אומן. אמונה נאמנת אומן כמו אוהל אוכל ואינו ל' פועל אלא ל' מפעל אבויי"רמינט בלע"ז:
כִּי שַׂמְתָּ מֵעִיר לַגָּל קִרְיָה בְצוּרָה לְמַפֵּלָה אַרְמוֹן זָרִים מֵעִיר לְעוֹלָם לֹא יִבָּנֶֽה׃
For thou hast made of a city a heap; of a fortified city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

כי שמת. הר שעיר מעיר לגל:
ארמון זרים מעיר. מעון שעשו בעירך שהחריבוה תתן ארמונותיה חורבן אשר לעולם לא יבנה:
עַל־כֵּן יְכַבְּדוּךָ עַם־עָז קִרְיַת גּוֹיִם עָרִיצִים יִירָאֽוּךָ׃
Therefore shall the strong people glorify Thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear Thee.

For Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of tyrants was like a storm against the wall.

מחסה מזרם. כיסוי אהל להציל מזרם וצל להגין מחורב ומהו אותו זרם הוא רוח עריצים כי רוחם דימה לזרם השוטף בקיר ומפילו:
כְּחֹרֶב בְּצָיוֹן שְׁאוֹן זָרִים תַּכְנִיעַ חֹרֶב בְּצֵל עָב זְמִיר עָרִיצִים יַעֲנֶֽה׃ {פ}
Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; as the heat is removed by the shadow of a cloud, so the song of tyrants shall be brought low.
