וְאָמַר בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא הִנֵּה אֱלֹהֵינוּ זֶה קִוִּינוּ לוֹ וְיוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ זֶה יְהֹוָה קִוִּינוּ לוֹ נָגִילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בִּישׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃
And it shall be said on that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he should save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

קוינו לו ויושיענו. היינו מקוים לו שיושיענו:
כִּי־תָנוּחַ יַד־יְהֹוָה בָּהָר הַזֶּה וְנָדוֹשׁ מוֹאָב תַּחְתָּיו כְּהִדּוּשׁ מַתְבֵּן (במי) [בְּמוֹ] מַדְמֵנָֽה׃
For in this mountain shall the hand of the Lord rest, and Mo᾽av shall be trodden down in his own place, even as straw is trodden down in the dunghill.

מדמנה. טיט וכן לדומן על פני האדמה (ירמיה טו):
וּפֵרַשׂ יָדָיו בְּקִרְבּוֹ כַּאֲשֶׁר יְפָרֵשׂ הַשֹּׂחֶה לִשְׂחוֹת וְהִשְׁפִּיל גַּאֲוָתוֹ עִם אׇרְבּוֹת יָדָֽיו׃
And he shall spread out his hands in the midst of it, as he that swims spreads out his hands to swim: and he shall bring down his pride together with the spoils of his hands.

ופרש ידיו. ושבר ידון וזרועותיו בספוק כפים בבכי:
השוחה. השט במים:
לשחות. לשוט וכן מי שחו (יחזקאל מז י'):
והשפיל. המשפיל את גאוותו:
עם ארבות ידיו. לשון וארב לו (דברים יט) תירגם יונתן אשוות ידוהי מקום שהוא שם לו ידים לארוב והם מגדלים גבוהים אשוות חומות ומגדלים כמו (ירמיה ג) נפלו אשיותיה:
וּמִבְצַר מִשְׂגַּב חוֹמֹתֶיךָ הֵשַׁח הִשְׁפִּיל הִגִּיעַ לָאָרֶץ עַד־עָפָֽר׃ {ס}
And the lofty fortress of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
