יְהֹוָה חׇנֵּנוּ לְךָ קִוִּינוּ הֱיֵה זְרֹעָם לַבְּקָרִים אַף־יְשׁוּעָתֵנוּ בְּעֵת צָרָֽה׃
O Lord, be gracious to us; we have waited for Thee: be Thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

לבקרים. מדי יום יום כשהוא מיצר להם אף ישועתינו תהיה בעת צרה:
מִקּוֹל הָמוֹן נָדְדוּ עַמִּים מֵרוֹמְמֻתֶךָ נָפְצוּ גּוֹיִֽם׃
At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of Thyself the nations were scattered.

מקול המון. הבא מלפניך נדדו עמים עד הנה כשהפלאת לנו נסיך:
וְאֻסַּף שְׁלַלְכֶם אֹסֶף הֶחָסִיל כְּמַשַּׁק גֵּבִים שֹׁקֵק בּֽוֹ׃
And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpillar: as the running of locusts shall he rove about upon it.

ואוסף שללכם. זה מוסב על כנלותך לבגוד יבגדו בך ואוסף שללכם אתם הבוגדים את עמי בבא פקודתכם יבוז אתכם שארית עמי ויאספו שללכם כאסיפת חסיל שאוסף לו תבואה בקיץ כל א' לעצמו אף כאן יבוזו איש לו:
כמשק גבים שוקק. כקול נהם מים הנאספים ונופלין בגבים בנהם כן ינהמו הבאים לשלול ולבוז, משק ל' נהם כמו (משלי כ״ח:ט״ו) ארי נוהם ודוב שוקק, וכן ממשק חרול (צפניה ב׳:ט׳) כשהרוח מנשבת בחרולים והם מכים זה על זה נותנים קול וכן בעיר ישוקו (יואל ב):
גבים. כמו לחשוף מים מגבא ורבותינו דרשוהו באגדת חלק בביזת אוכלוסי סנחרב:
נִשְׂגָּב יְהֹוָה כִּי שֹׁכֵן מָרוֹם מִלֵּא צִיּוֹן מִשְׁפָּט וּצְדָקָֽה׃

כי שוכן מרום. הראה גבורתו שהוא רם על כל וידו על העליונה:
וְהָיָה אֱמוּנַת עִתֶּיךָ חֹסֶן יְשׁוּעֹת חׇכְמַת וָדָעַת יִרְאַת יְהֹוָה הִיא אוֹצָרֽוֹ׃ {פ}

והיה אמונת עתיך וגו'. והיה לחוסן ישועות ולחכמה ודעת את אשר תאמין לבוראך עתים שקבע לך לתרומות ולמעשרות בעת הפרשתן ללקט שכחה ופיאה בעתם לקיים שמיטין ויובלות בעתם ד"א אמונת עתך. את שהאמנת בהקב"ה בעתים שעברו עליך וצפית לישועה תהיה לך לחוסן:
יראת ה'. שתירא מלפניו היא אוצר טוב להפתח לך מאתו על ידה:
