יְשֻׂשׂוּם מִדְבָּר וְצִיָּה וְתָגֵל עֲרָבָה וְתִפְרַח כַּחֲבַצָּֽלֶת׃
The wilderness and the arid land shall be glad; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom like the tulip.

מדבר וציה. ירושלי' הקרוי' ציה וציון הקרוי' מדבר הן ישושו על מפלתם של גבורי שעיר (ובצרה):
ותגל ערבה. של ירושלים:
פָּרֹחַ תִּפְרַח וְתָגֵל אַף גִּילַת וְרַנֵּן כְּבוֹד הַלְּבָנוֹן נִתַּן־לָהּ הֲדַר הַכַּרְמֶל וְהַשָּׁרוֹן הֵמָּה יִרְאוּ כְבוֹד־יְהֹוָה הֲדַר אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ {פ}
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of the Levanon shall be given to it, the excellency of the Karmel and the Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.
