זִכְרוּ־זֹאת וְהִתְאֹשָׁשׁוּ הָשִׁיבוּ פוֹשְׁעִים עַל־לֵֽב׃

והתאוששו. והתחזקו כמו לאשישי קיר חרשת (לעיל טז):
השיבו פושעים על לב. ומה אני אומר לכם לזכור ולהשיב על לב:
זִכְרוּ רִאשֹׁנוֹת מֵעוֹלָם כִּי אָנֹכִי אֵל וְאֵין עוֹד אֱלֹהִים וְאֶפֶס כָּמֽוֹנִי׃

זכרו ראשונות מעולם. אשר ראיתם כי אנכי אל ואין עוד, אנכי אלהים ואפס כמוני:
מַגִּיד מֵֽרֵאשִׁית אַחֲרִית וּמִקֶּדֶם אֲשֶׁר לֹא־נַֽעֲשׂוּ אֹמֵר עֲצָתִי תָקוּם וְכׇל־חֶפְצִי אֶעֱשֶֽׂה׃

מגיד מראשית אחרית. גלות מצרים וגאולתה הודעתי בבין הבתרים לפני היותה:
קֹרֵא מִמִּזְרָח עַיִט מֵאֶרֶץ מֶרְחָק אִישׁ (עצתו) [עֲצָתִי] אַף־דִּבַּרְתִּי אַף־אֲבִיאֶנָּה יָצַרְתִּי אַף־אֶעֱשֶֽׂנָּה׃ {ס}
calling an eagle from the east, the man that executes my counsel from a far country: I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it. I will also do it.

קורא ממזרח עיט. מארץ ארם שהיא במזרח קראתי לי את אברה' להיות נמלך בעצתי: עיט כמו התיב עטה וטעם (דניאל ב) אתיעטו כל סרכי מלכותא (שם ו) וגם יש לפותרו בל' עוף קראתי למהר אחרי כעוף הפורח ונודד ממקומו:
מרחק. קראתי לאיש עצתי ועמו יעצתי בין הבתרים ד' גליות כמו שמפורש בבראשית רבה והנה אימה חשיכה גדולה וגו':
אף דברתי. עמו הגליות וגאולתן אף אביאנה:
זכרו זאת. אשר אני חפץ לומר:
