אָנֹכִי אָנֹכִי הוּא מְנַחֶמְכֶם מִי־אַתְּ וַתִּֽירְאִי מֵאֱנוֹשׁ יָמוּת וּמִבֶּן־אָדָם חָצִיר יִנָּתֵֽן׃
I, even I, am he that comforts you: who art thou, that thou shouldst be afraid of a mortal man, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass;

וַתִּשְׁכַּח יְהֹוָה עֹשֶׂךָ נוֹטֶה שָׁמַיִם וְיֹסֵד אָרֶץ וַתְּפַחֵד תָּמִיד כׇּל־הַיּוֹם מִפְּנֵי חֲמַת הַמֵּצִיק כַּאֲשֶׁר כּוֹנֵן לְהַשְׁחִית וְאַיֵּה חֲמַת הַמֵּצִֽיק׃
and hast forgotten the Lord thy maker, that stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as he makes ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?

ותשכח ה' עושך. ולא נשענת עליו:
המציק. מושלי אומות העולם המשעבדים בכם:
כאשר כונן. נזדמן:
ואיה חמת המציק. מחר בא ואיננו:
מִהַר צֹעֶה לְהִפָּתֵחַ וְלֹא־יָמוּת לַשַּׁחַת וְלֹא יֶחְסַר לַחְמֽוֹ׃
The crouching one hastens that he may be loosed, and he shall not die in the pit, nor shall his bread fail.

מהר צועה להפתח. אפי' נקבין קשין עליו וצריך הוא להפתח בהילוך המעים כדי שלא ימות לשחת וכיון שמיהר להפתח צריך הוא למזונות רבים שאם יחסר לחמו אף הוא ימות:
צועה. ל' דבר העומד להיו' נירוק כמו שאומר במואב שדימהו הנבי' ליין (ירמיהו מ״ח:י״א) השקט אל שמריו ולא הורק מכלי אל כלי ונא' שם ושלחתי לו צועים וצעהו וכליו יריקו, ד"א מהר צועה אותו האויב המציק שהוא עכשיו חגור מתני' חלוץ כח ימהר להפתח ולהיות חלש:
צועה. חוגר כמו (לקמן סג) צועה ברוב כחו
ולא ימות המסור בידו לשחת אבל הלשון ראשון מדר' אגד' הוא בפסיקת' רבתי:
וְאָֽנֹכִי יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ רֹגַע הַיָּם וַיֶּהֱמוּ גַּלָּיו יְהֹוָה צְבָאוֹת שְׁמֽוֹ׃
And I am the Lord thy God, who stirs up the sea, that its waves roared: The Lord of hosts is his name.

רוגע הים. לשון עורי רגע (איוב ז׳:ה׳) פרונצ"א בלע"ז:
וָאָשִׂם דְּבָרַי בְּפִיךָ וּבְצֵל יָדִי כִּסִּיתִיךָ לִנְטֹעַ שָׁמַיִם וְלִיסֹד אָרֶץ וְלֵאמֹר לְצִיּוֹן עַמִּי־אָֽתָּה׃ {ס}
And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Żiyyon, Thou art my people.

מי את. בת צדיקים כמותך מלאה זכיו' למה תיראי מאנוש אשר סופו למות:
