עָזַבְתִּי אֶת־בֵּיתִי נָטַשְׁתִּי אֶת־נַחֲלָתִי נָתַתִּי אֶת־יְדִדוּת נַפְשִׁי בְּכַף אֹיְבֶֽיהָ׃
I have forsaken my house, I have left my heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.

הָיְתָה־לִּי נַחֲלָתִי כְּאַרְיֵה בַיָּעַר נָתְנָה עָלַי בְּקוֹלָהּ עַל־כֵּן שְׂנֵאתִֽיהָ׃

הַעַיִט צָבוּעַ נַֽחֲלָתִי לִי הַעַיִט סָבִיב עָלֶיהָ לְכוּ אִסְפוּ כׇּל־חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה הֵתָיוּ לְאׇכְלָֽה׃

העיט צבוע. הה"א תמוה לכך הוא נקוד פת"ח הכי הם עוף צבוע מגואל בדם ששאר העופות נאספים עליו, ד"א העיט צבוע עוף אחד שהוא צבוע וכל העופות נאספים עליו לאוכלו ששונאים אותו:
העיט סביב עליה. שמא עוף שמים הם אלו החיילות הגדודים הקלים אשר סביביה:

רֹעִים רַבִּים שִׁחֲתוּ כַרְמִי בֹּסְסוּ אֶת־חֶלְקָתִי נָתְנוּ אֶת־חֶלְקַת חֶמְדָּתִי לְמִדְבַּר שְׁמָמָֽה׃
