אֱמֹר לַמֶּלֶךְ וְלַגְּבִירָה הַשְׁפִּילוּ שֵׁבוּ כִּי יָרַד מַרְאֲשׁוֹתֵיכֶם עֲטֶרֶת תִּֽפְאַרְתְּכֶֽם׃
Say to the king and to the queen mother, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your glorious crown has fallen from your head.

ירד מראשותיכם. וושטרי קאי"ץ בלעז עלייתכם כמו שנאמר (מלכים ב כח) ויצא אליו יהויכין הוא ואמו ועבדיו וכולם הוליכם בגולה:
עָרֵי הַנֶּגֶב סֻגְּרוּ וְאֵין פֹּתֵחַ הׇגְלָת יְהוּדָה כֻּלָּהּ הׇגְלָת שְׁלוֹמִֽים׃ {ס}

ערי הנגב סגרו. לפני הבאין עליהם מן הצפון ערי א"י סגורות מאימת נבוכדנצר:
הגלת שלומים. לא ילחם יהויכין כי לשלום יצא ויגלהו, ל"א שלומים גרדונאמינ"ץ בלעז כלומר תשלום עוונם וכן ת"י איתקבלו תושלמת חוביהון:
