לֹא־יָשַׁבְתִּי בְסוֹד־מְשַׂחֲקִים וָאֶעְלֹז מִפְּנֵי יָֽדְךָ בָּדָד יָשַׁבְתִּי כִּי־זַעַם מִלֵּאתָֽנִי׃
I sat not in the assembly of the merrymakers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of Thy hand: for Thou hast filled me with indignation.

ישבתי. יחידי ומשתומם באבילות כי נבואת זעם מלאתני בחורבן ביתך:
לָמָּה הָיָה כְאֵבִי נֶצַח וּמַכָּתִי אֲנוּשָׁה מֵֽאֲנָה הֵרָפֵא הָיוֹ תִהְיֶה לִי כְּמוֹ אַכְזָב מַיִם לֹא נֶאֱמָֽנוּ׃ {ס}
